The Scene It was our last day at PDX and B had to get some business done, so I went solo for 1/2 day. Just a few blocks from Hotel Lucia (hotel I was staying at), there was a low-key Japanese spot where they served one of my favorites, Niku (Beef) Udon. The place was packed with office people on their lunch breaks sitting and ordering take out. I took a seat at the bar and had a quick meal. Though the Niku Udon is nothing compared to the ones I had in LA (Little Tokyo) and Sapporo East, it was not bad. The broth was good but the beef wasn’t thin and tender enough, if you’re in for a quick lunch…this may be a good choice. Peep my lunch after the jump…
