The Scene Once again another good spot opened in my neighborhood, I luv living in the L.E.S.! My mom, B and I was feelin’ for some noodles that night and I remembered we walked by Kampuchea once but didn’t get a chance to taste it. We decided to head on in, it was a Friday night so there was a bit of a wait but the hostess was very polite and would constantly check on you to let you know the seats will be ready shortly. The food are prepared in an open kitchen, which is good but it also makes the dining area more stuffy, even the A/C can’t help. Though there was some heat in the house, the drinks cooled us down a bit, I absolutely LOVED the Lychee Fizz, it’s so easy to make, Sprite with lychee…sooooooo refreshing! We also ordered Grilled Sweet Corn, it was ok, def not comparable to the ones at Cafe Habana. The noodles were quite good, I enjoyed my Filet Mignon Katiev, next time I go back I will need to let them know to cook my beef instead of letting it cook in the broth, its way too thick for it to not be bloody even if its soaked. I also liked the braised brisket that’s offered in my Filet Mignon Katiev more than the filet mignon itself, its much more tastier. Overall, great ambiance, good service and good tasting food, I will def make another trip back, if you’re feelin’ for some noodles hit this spot up! Peep the pics after the jump…

i must second your review of this restaurant! as a girl who grew up eating khmer food, i gotta give props for chef ratha chau’s take on cambodian street food. it’s not “authentic” in the sense of being identical to what i ate at home or what i eat when i visit cambodia, but the restaurant still provides a fun, tasty interpretation of some cambodian dishes. i love the grilled corn (although you’re right — cafe habana’s version is better), the shrimp crepe, and the tasty sandwiches (especially the 3-sandwich tasting plate). oh yes, the lychee fizz is so delicious too!
keep the food reviews coming, i love them! : )
Thank you for the favorful review. We are so please you enjoyed your experience. Say hello next time you are in!
Best,
