Simply Vera by Vera Wang for Kohls @ Kohls.com

It’s official that Simply Vera by Vera Wang for Kohl’s is available at Kohl’s stores and Kohl’s, starting today (though some stores have gotten it early). I went to a Kohl’s store today for the first time and was totally disappointed, there were practically nothing left, leaving only large sizes available and everything was a mess. I walked out empty-handed, I had better luck online. Copped a few hats and gloves, I’m still waiting for the gold skirt and few other pieces to pop up online, no luck yet! Did you guys order anything?

On a whim I called the Kohls in Cherry Hill, NJ (I live in Philadelphia) this past Thursday, and they told me the line was already on the floor, so I drove over to check it out. When I tried things on, a lot of things didn’t work for me, I think they were made for taller people, but I surprised myself by getting the pleated hem skirt (I thought I would love the tops, but they just made me look short!).

i was just back home visiting my parents and was lucky enough to stop by the store when they had a fair amount of stuff in my size. i picked up the long sweater-y coat, black belted dress, and the two-color satin chemise. i’m happy with all three pieces — they fit quite nicely!

i gotta say the line isn’t disappointing at all. all the fabric are relatively high quality compare to other designer collaborations, and all the pieces are very elegant and “vera wang.” but i have to agree, some of the pieces looks too long to me. I like the bubble skirt, but i wish they can fit above my knees. my kohls has a big selection, but it didn’t have everything. I especially like some of the shoes, but they are too pricey. I didn’t buy anything although there are a few pieces that i desperately want, but my head just tells me that I could wait.

I went to Kohl’s yesterday, and SMY is right about everything being made for tall people. Which I’m very much not.

I’m just biding my time until the Temperley/Target collection, haha!

i thought the line felt a bit older and more business-like. the skirts and dresses were too long for me and i’m 5′4″. the tops looked loose on me even in a small and i usually wear a medium. i did, however, get the cardigan sweater and two pairs of tights. i thought the satin chemise sleepwear were cuter than the actual dresses. i’m a bit disappointed since i was expecting the line to have a younger vibe to it.

The line seems a lot larger in size in general. Overall, i was not impressed. Nothing distinguishing about the line that sets it apart from anything else that Kohl’s sells, besides the designer name tag. And it would be nice if she put some bright pieces into the collection. The whole color scheme was just depressing.

was not impressed when i saw the collection online. i snagged a pair of the black & grey fingerless gloves but that’s it. can’t wait for temperly!

Kohls put everything on sale for 30% off today, plus you get an additional 15% if you use your Kohls card. I personally am absolutely thrilled with these clothes. I am 5′ 9″ and am a size 12. These clothes fit like they were tailor made for me. They don’t look that amazing on the hangar but when put on, they are fabulous. I purchased almost the entire line. The dresses bust run a bit small, the pants and skirt are true to size and some of the tops are oversized. I think the colors and textures are gorgeous. The shoes are gorgeous! Purchased 3 pairs but they were selling out quickly. The lingerie is fabulous also. At 45% off, it’s a great deal. I’ve been to 2 stores and they are sold out of pretty much everything under size 8. By this weekend Kohls says they anticipate to be pretty picked through because Vera is on Oprah tomorrow with the entire line.

I ordered three pieces online from the Simply Vera collection, a babydoll cardigan, a sleeveless colorblock top, and a shirred shirt w/ jewels. All three pieces were way too big for me, even in small. Unless the line has XS, which were not available online when I ordered, the line is NOT good for petite people (I’m 5′3″). Also, it’s just generally very wide and loose. This is not at all like whta Vera Wang designs in her bridal or clothing lines, so I was definitely disappointed.

I just ordered a few pieces online over the weekend – the long cardigan, the ombre top, and that same top but in teal. I found that there were Petite sizes available so I was pretty excited. and they had just about every size available – I opted for a 2Petite since I heard the sizing runs big. Haven’t received it yet, but I have my hopes up.
