Hi, I live in Germany and last week, I saw the article, too (the H&m magazine is also published in german) and I’ve thought something similar than you wrote in this entry.
First, I was a bit confused, especially about what’s the reason h&m writes something like that. Do they read personal fashionblogs? And if they’re right (but I don’t think so about your blog), in the internet are so many useless and really stupid sites – why do h&m care about something like that?

But in conclusion don’t care about that, we all love your blog and if anybody don’t agree, he or she don’t have to read it any longer!

H&M irks me a little, actually. They say that they don’t have e-sales because they want to focus on new store openings, but they seem to think that only people in the Northeast or California buy clothes in this country.

If they’re going to make a big deal out of their designer collaborations and place their stuff in a number of the big women’s magazines, it’s kind of maddening that you can’t get the stuff in, say, Phoenix or Denver. Or even Vegas or Atlanta until recently, for that matter.

I certainly agree with you on that, especially I’ve been a fan of your blog and have known about your love with H&M. This is certainly hurtful. I for one saw the mention in the magazine and thought “what do they know about the power of bloggers and our reach to a wider audience?” Forget about writing for free and giving them free advertising, this is equavalent of dissing your biggest fan base. H&M really should’ve known better.

Hi, I live in Sweden where we have a lot of great fashion blogs as well. Many of them focus on clothes from H&M since it is a Swedish brand. The interesting part is that instead of criticizing the blogs, H&M in Sweden has chosen to support them by occasionally giving the blog owners free clothes. In return the blog owners are asked to review the clothes and express their options to their readers, thus providing H&M with positive (not always) advertisement.

I think if anyone has the right to be offended, it should be you and Agathe at Stylebytes. Because you both blog about it so much and are devoted shoppers.

And 2008 is quite far away, they must not even know what theyre talking about.

I dont see why anyone hasnt written them a letter/email yet.

It’s just a little blog put down, definitely nothing to do with you. You have a lot of knowledge, I’m sure there are many blogs that don’t. : )
