Given that it’s on the ground floor of an old cast-iron industrial building, Mayrose has a lofty spaciousness: ceiling-high windows to enable people-watching on Broadway, and fans rotating busily overhead (that’s key because tables are packed in tightly). – David Hirschman / NYMag.com

After dropping my bro off at Wakiya we decided to eat brunch around that area, we hardly go up there to eat so we weren’t sure what was around. Drove around a bit and decided to try Mayrose just b/c it had “comfortable food” on the window (haha)! The place was packed with people that looked like they just woke up and there was a bit of a wait. The restaurant had very high ceilings (luv it), the food was decent no different from any other diner but the Cup o’Mac was not that great (was too dry, not enuff melted cheese). This spot is not somewhere I’ll crave for but if I so happen to be in the area I wouldn’t mind going back for brunch. Peep the pics after the jump…

Cup o’Mac (Mac & Cheese) $3.75 – not that great…I wouldn’t recommend to order this.
