When I first started, I was always finding stuff to buy (50% or 30% discount, turned me into a cheapskate for life), but for the last couple of years I worked there, I pretty much only bought basics like T-shirts. This last summer, though, they started to turn their product around -- they had some GREAT jersey dresses for fall. Some of their holiday stuff is pretty cute too, but I'm waiting for it to get marked down before I buy. I actually worked at the Gap back when it was cool (showing my age here, haha!).
