    1) design: everybody wants to get a good compliment once in a while. if you wear a creative tee you get a lot of compliments
    2) what can i wear accessory-wise with it? or what should i get to make it look even better?
    3) fit: if i want to wear it lazy i get it bigger. if i want it comfy but still form fitting get it my normal size. it just depends on much how i like the shirt and how i’m going to wear it

The 3 things i look at when i buy a tee is if it suits my style (i have to be attrackted to it as soon as i see it, if its not love at first sight its a no go anyways!), if its edgy (and that can be in all kind of ways –> the print, the design, the fit, the colour) and the price (not that if its a 100 bux i wont buy it, but its always important…i have loads of 15 dollar tees but also rock my 100 dollar ones!)

    4. Three things I consider when buying a tee: a) personality/message on the tee…does it represent who I am? b) length – looove long layering tees c) color / print quality. will the print melt together when you throw it in the dryer? will the ink bleed when the tee is washed? these are important questions to ask yourself before purchasing….

    a) Quality, I can’t afford to buy a new t every week, that junk has to retain its shape even if I wash it.

    b) Design, something eye catching definitely. Bright colors, crazy shapes, you name it. Oh, and preferrably colorways to match with my kicks.

    c) Affordability, yeah on occasion I splurge here and there. But its really hard to find some dope girls street wear clothes that aren’t totally over priced. I mean, a stussy T here costs like 7500 yen (75 dollars) at the cheapest. That junk is ridiculous huh? Help a sister out, and hook me up with those hot threads. :)

Three Things i consider when buying a t-shirt:
    1. Originality– Fashion and design is like a piece of artwork. It reflects the designer. If it’s different, you know that the designer put thought into what they want rather than just designing something that they know is popular. If it looks too similar to another brand, it’s design/phrase is consistently used/seen everywhere, then I’ll pass. If i can find that design for $15 elsewhere, as opposed to the same design on a $60 shirt from a public label, I’d rather get it for $15. I like buying fits that are exclusive and turn heads because of the fact that it’s such a different concept.

    2. Detail– I love detail. I.e. red stitching on a white shirt as opposed to white stitching, gold buttons, one extra stripe on the american flag, paisley pockets that you could only see if you pull them out or take the pants off, a tiny symbol in the inside of the shirt that you can’t see unless you accidentally find it, etc. Flaws also count as detail for me. If the shirt is accidentally off centered, one section isn’t printed right, it makes it seem more exclusive to me because it fell into my hands rather than someone else’s. Flaws are perfection.

    3. Message– Shirts that get me thinking about an abstract message or just gives a straight forward “Fuck Off”, like Hellz Bellz or “Do I look like i give a fuck”, like MOB, always catches my attention. What you wear makes a statement about yourself, and sometimes, sends out messages that other people can’t send out themselves, whether it’s making a point or simply expressing a feeling.

  • Christine says:

    # Three (3) things that I consider when I’m buying a shirt are the design, fit, and price. I love buying shirts that I can mix and match with kicks or accessories. I make sure that they fit me correctly, proportion wise, because I’m short. I also make sure that the price matches the quality of the shirt. Thank you.

    4. The first thing I consider when finding a tee is the graphic/design. Especially, if its really unique with an Upper Playground-esque, artistic feel, that really catches my attention. After the initial attraction, I look for personality :] which I consider to be the color of the shirt. It can be a dope top but if the color just isn’t working then I’ll have to pass. It also helps if the colors are somewhere in the spectrum of the shoes/sneakers that I own already. So finally after making sure that there will be a continual enticement with the tee I check if its a a good match/size. After I check all that, it would be horrible if it didn’t even fit me or was one size too small! As you can see, I treat buying clothing like I’m choosing a male partner, and as with both the right one should be for life!
