The comic book world is not only taking over the cinema, according to WWD Diane von Furstenberg is creating a capsule collection of ready-to-wear, small leather goods and footwear in collaboration with Warner Bros. Consumer Products on behalf of DC Comics loosely inspired by Wonder Woman. DVF admits that she’s fascinated by the character and believes that “every woman should be the Wonder Woman she wants to be.”

The clothes will take cue from Wonder Woman’s motifs and and symbols, such as stars and fireworks. The collection “includes a long wrap dress in a multicolored shooting-star print, a little black dress emblazoned across the front with a large gold star, a sequined dress with a pink star on the side and a jersey dress with corseting detail.” Prices wholesale at about $125 to $360 and drops this October at her 22 DVF stores, as well as DVF stockists. With all collaborations there will always be special items, three Wonder Woman-inspired gift items will be sold at her boutique: a T-shirt, a travel blanket with a pouch and a journal.
