Even though Sex and the City: The Movie has released almost a month ago the buzz around the outfits of Sarah Jessica Parker still haven’t died down. Unfortunately I still have yet to watch the movie, but the book is helping me quench my thrist at the moment - the photos are super fab. I am looking forward to watching the movie soon!

My favorite is definitely Samantha. She’s so sassy and she’s definitely the most independent, strongest character on the show. Carrie is a close second though, mostly because I love her outfits.

Homegirl’s can go from corporate chic to ghetto fabulous in 3.5 seconds. LOVE HER! My favorite character is without a doubt Carrie. Throughout the series, Carrie has had many men, and she has gone through her ups and down with them all, but through it all she made it ok. She is independent, which is rare among women TV characters. She never compromised who she was for anyone, although at times she came close (ie. Petrovsky). Carrie us sort of the middle man between all of her friends, and the bond that they share is remarkable. Her style is impeccable as well as her witty personality. For these reasons, I love Carrie Bradshaw!

Charlotte is my favorite character because she adds a healthy balance to the group. She’s always happy and peppy, and full of encouragement. She’s the kind of person who anyone could be friends with and would most certainly do anything for you. She’s the innocent one, and someone who I could absolutely get along with. Not to mention her conservative, yet cutesy style which comes second to Carrie’s spread.

Miranda Hobbes is underrated, but she is much more real to me than the other girls. She has the insecurities that many of us have and yet she is the strongest. I think she is a real role model — great job, doesn’t date men because she’s needy and dependent but actually out of real want. I like that she picked a man like Steve, their love just seems so much more genuine.

Miranda is my absolute favorite. Not only does she speak her mind, but she doesn’t apologize for it. She’s the friend that every girl should have, even though her brutal honesty can make you step back at times. She wouldn’t hesitate to tell you that you can do better than the guy you’re currently seeing and she’d even tell you that yes, you do look fat in those jeans. But mostly she is my favorite because her response to criticism over her addition (much like my own) to trashy celeb weeklies is: “it’s my thing, let it go.” Truer words were never spoken.

Charlotte has always been my favorite. I see all of my favorite actresses wrapped up in one in that character. I admire her optimism and her gracefulness. Oftentimes when I am feeling defeated, I think of Charlotte in the episode “One” and am reminded of her strength and courage. Not to mention her beautiful dresses!

I really love all the characters. I love Miranda’s humor, Charlotte’s optimism and hopeful spirit, Samantha’s independence and Carrie–how can you not love Carrie? I find that my favorite character tends to change as things in my life change. If I need more of an independent streak, I tend to favor both Samantha and Carrie and if I need more strength, I tend to favor Miranda. I can’t wait to see this movie!

I would have to say Carrie is my favorite SATC character because although she has gone through and dated many men and experienced much heartbreak throughout the years, she still knows how to strut her style and always turns to her girls for help. Not only that, she truly gives great insight on the realities of love and how you can conquer it in your own life.
Who doesn’t love Carrie’s clothes and shoes? Samantha! She bucks ALL the stereotypes! She takes life by the reins and never looks back. She is honest and unapologetic about who she is and how she presents herself. Samantha’s personality makes the show. She always takes control of bad situations. She doesn’t let anyone bring them down. The variety of ways she finds to indulge herself is hilarious! She’s practically a man! What a perfect compliment to the femininity of the other characters. She never pretends to be what she’s not. Yet, she is still a very dynamic and layered character. She is witty, honest, confident, independent, non-judgemental and loyal. I can’t even imagine the show without her. She is the perfect anecdote to a bad day!
