Rei Kawakubo of COMME des GARÇONS is definitely keeping herself busy, besides the H&M collaboration slated to drop in November, according to The Moment she will be joining forces with Louis Vuitton to open a joint Tokyo store in September. The store will be only open for three months and with all collaborations there’s always a limited edition collection, there will be “six one-off bags designed by Kawakubo in LV monogram pattern” it will be available to be ordered by shoppers. The collaboration initiated with CdG approaching Yves Carcelle, Chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton while he was sitting front row of the CdG show on Friday, its a way “to celebrate 30 years since Vuitton first opened in Tokyo”. The CdG store on Kottodori, Omotesando will get a face-lift for the Vuitton project with LV investing in the store and profits will be split.
This is nuts, uh oh my credit card is in trouble! I can’t wait to see the photos of the six one-off bags!! edit 07.10.2008: 3 Responses to “Louis Vuitton x COMME des GARCONS – September 2008” |

i think it’ll open be open at the pop-up store in Japan.
and “profits will be shared” totally means insanely high prices cause no way LVMH would be fine with a smaller profit.
