Earlier this month I’ve received an email from Mayuko Asano, a New York-based Japanese model and designer of spiff, she was eager to share her scent-based clothing dreams to the rest of the world. I checked out the linesheet and thought her range of tees are very cutesy and girlie so I wanted to introduce the brand to all of you guys. spiff was born in June 2008, she was inspired from her childhood memories of scratch ‘n sniff tees making the brand fun and unique. The first collection of tees are in the scent of suntan lotion which is perfect for summer. I previously wore the mint “Here 4 U” tee at the Central Park SummerStage “Mad Fools in the Park” Concert, perhaps everyone thought I had suntan lotion on haha.

Mayu says, “spiff is for all the girls who dream about their future, love who they are, and aren’t afraid to express themselves”. spiff’s Summer 2008 is currently available at Charlotte Ronson (NYC) and Union (NYC).
