I like Tara Subkoff too. But I don't think she's right for Bebe. I thought her first collection for Bebe was pretty awful. It collection wasn't Tara Subkoff; and it wasn't Bebe either. I thought she was gonna be edgy and underground and cool.... But the look was all neo-Lolita. (And I'm so tired of that. I don't understand why fashion retailers push that aesthetic. No one wants to look like a teenager to look or feel sexy and empowered.) So that was the last collection. As for the current one...

I think it's another strike out. It looks like a cross between Ann Taylor and Posh Spice. (Don't get me wrong, I ADORE posh.) But the bow on the skirt, the full sequin jacket? Who would wear that but old people who are going out the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion to listen to listen to opera.

My advice to Bebe: get a designer who matches your look and feel, so that there's synergy. Like with what Urban Outfitters does with their guest designers. UO gets designers who get them. Or get a designer who can design has the freedom to do their own aesthetic like with what Target does for their GO line. Opt for the former cause you guys already have a look and fit.

All in all, this collab looks tired. And I've seen the pieces before. And done better elsewhere.

you can get the heart bag on ebay for around 35 or 50 bucks.

i love tara subkoff.

the black diagonal top with the exposed midriff looks like the outfit keira knightley wore to the pirates of the caribean premiere.
