These images are deeply disturbing.

If women around the world weren't routinely raped, beaten and killed, perhaps I could see this as merely as artistic expression. The designer, photograher and models should have thought about the real-life implications of these advertisements before going through with the photo shoot.

i love that everyone is expressing their feelings about this. being a woman myself i honestly didn't feel degraded or bothered by this campaign, i just felt it was different. i know the designer/owner Jennifer personally and she's a woman herself so I would assume she wouldn't degrade women as well.

i hit up jennifer and she says, "the photoshoot was inspired by my personal collection of very beautiful vintage bondage photos, and in my mind the bondage is consensual by those who actually choose to participate. there are some people who really enjoy it and see it as a fun, exciting thing. plus if you research what WW is, and has always been about, our audience i think is smart enough to know that we are VERY strong women and all for female empowerment- the most obvious is our hail mary list for example."

I agree w/ the first commenter. I had a negative reaction to these ads because it feels like the women are depicted like animals. and again, so many other concepts could have been done. I guess the photos can pass for the sake of the bondage theme, but the first and last photos are just not cool with me. if this is a female clothing line, I think the images should be empowering, not degrading. just my 2 cents :)

I cannot agree more with glossy's comment! This theme is in bad taste and I'm sure it will disgust women everywhere. Does Worship Worthy think that they can downplay what really happens to women throughout history; need I mention Asian comfort women in World War II, genital mutilation in Africa, and all the rape and sexual harassment cases we see on our nightly news? Women are bonded and exploited sexually in our textbooks and on our television sets...we are beat down by the male figure in the workplace and in our society...and now we just lost again to a clothing advertisement.

I follow your blog retrogurl, and I think you have more class and brains than to nonchalantly let something this disturbing slip by without making a comment about it. I understand you may enjoy their clothing line, but you also have the power to say that you don't condone their advertising methods. After all, strong, independent women of all ages follow your blog and that makes you a role model.

These adds are degrading to women
I hate the last pic with the women tied and her underwear down.
A better concept could have been done.
Fizzzzuck this shit!
Was a man behind this concept?
