I waited an hour and a half to get in, then another 20 min to get to see the accessories, then another 20 min to pay... I did all that waiting thinking that will find something really nice inside (or at least at really nice price). WRONG. Neither the selection was nice, nor the prices. I saw few items that cost $19.99 at jcrew.com for $25 at the sample sale. Pretty ridiculous and disappointing!

FYI, I went to the J.Crew sample sale today at noon, waited 45 minutes in the freezing cold, and was *majorly* disappointed by the selection and the inefficiency of the sale. Usually clothingling has great sales (think Theory, Tory Burch, etc.) but I don't think the Jcrew sample sale is worth it. Merchandise was disorganized, strewn about and very poor quality. The prices if I recall are : womens shirts $25, wool sweaters $35, and cashmere $60 - not a great deal for the quality or selection. The line was ridiculously long outside, line to pay was long, and there is a separate line once you are inside to see the accessories section. The selection was: cashmere basic sweaters in less popular colors, discontinued merchandise, some bags, wallets, a few specialty items like formal dresses, springtime printed shirts/tanks. No wool coats. There are hardly any popular colors or prints. For men, they have a crappy sweater rack, some casual dress shirts and Thomas Mason shirts for $35 (retails for $125). For amount of time I waited in 10 degree weather for such shabby selection, I'd think twice before wasting 2 hours of your life....

I have very mixed emotions about this sale. On the one hand, Clothingline usually has some pretty good sales, but on the other hand, I'm always disapointed by J. Crew's clearance sales (online or in the store) so how good can this actually be?
