After attending the TJ Maxx/Marshalls “The Wonderland of Spring Fashion Savings” event at Dylan’s Candy Store (more on this later) this afternoon, I passed by Bloomingdale’s since its across the street to check out the free cosmetics giveaway. Customer service directed everyone to the front of the store (60th and Lexington Ave), there was an employee passing out a sheet of paper explaining the giveaway and which products were available for distribution and of course there was a line but it went quickly. Once you get into the store (the line starts outside of the store) you’re seperated to the brand’s individual lines to get your product- print and sign your name and there you have it. The whole process must of taken 1-2 minutes, get it while you can. I went for the Chanel Coco Mademoiselle body lotion (3.4 fluid oz)! Today is the first day of the giveaway but you know since its free products won’t last too long, if you want it go get it quick! It’s first come first serve, while supplies last! If you got it let us know what you got and your experience, would luv to hear about it! For more info check my previous post here. More pics after the jump…

is there an age limit? i don’t think they’ll believe that a seven year old in 1994 would buy cosmetics.
LOL i got no clue, go with your mom?
There’s no age limit, 10 year old girls were getting Chanel lotion.
I got the Armani body gel
Nordstrom and Macy’s are also doing this class action law suit deal.
The department stores here in San Diego didn’t care if you had already received one item from a different store. So down at the biggest mall, where it held a Macy’s, Nordstroms, Bloomingdales, Saks, and a Neimen’s , women were lining up in all the lines to try and snag products. By 2PM all the department stores had run out of products to hand out.
Does anyone know if they’ll still be handing out products in the days to come?
I got the Chanel Coco Mademoiselle body lotion at Nordstrom and the Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief at Macy’s. Unfortunately, supply was really limited at Macy’s and had only 5 choices by the time I got there. I was hoping to pick up the Dior J’Adore or another Chanel lotion :[
With organization, Macy’s line went more smoothly for me because they had 5-8 lines directing you to the product that you wanted, whereas Nordstrom was 1 large line with 1 table distributing products.
total time for both stores? I’d say ~35 minutes
If anyone is planning on going tomorrow, I recommend going before people get off work, otherwise the lines will be ridiculous!
I’m not much for scented body lotion or perfumy body wash, but the coco channel one seemed like a good choice, regardless i went for the double sided lancome mascara:-) which i love
yeah i was planning on going the first day but i had a bowling game and i was too lazy. i guess i missed out =(
