Despite the poor economy we’re facing, WWD reports that Juicy Couture plans to launch a pricer collection called Bird by Juicy Couture which is priced about 30% higher than the Juicy Couture label. Bird was created in hope the line of laid-back, but sophisticated items will become staples in the wardrobes of “the Juicy girl’s well-traveled sister,” Skaist-Levy noted. The collection consists of about 30 pieces which will launch for fall in select Juicy stores, Bergdorf Goodman, Net-a-porter, Harrods, Maxfield, Holt Renfrew and other specialty shops. Available for delivery five times a year, the collection will retail between $150 for a knit top to $600 for a coat. Not sure where the name came from but how do you guys feel about this? 9 Responses to “Bird by Juicy Couture” |

I love Juicy, but it’s already a total ripoff.

Juicy is Juicy. I am just not the greatest fan. Love some of their looks. I feel that they didn’t really give themselves a chance to really bloom. They are just there.

Just because there’s a word couture doesn’t make them any high end nor classy. It’s still suburb housewives or trailer thrash fashion. Ppl in America…wake up already!!!

i don’t like juicy since to me it is overpriced basics. don’t get me wrong i love fashion and to shop and i hve dropped major money on clothes but I have never seen an item at juicy that i felt warranted the prce tag. Especially those god awful velour tracksuits! yuck that shit was never cool to me! lol. Their fabrics aren’t that high quality and often I can just get the same shit cheaper. However, from what I have seen of bird it does look a hell of a lot more chic and worth some of my paycheck, so I may give them some play.

I love the comment that came from a person who calls herself a “maid”.
The name is English inspired and the feel is meant to obviously be London downtown edgy.
For the people who can only associate Juicy with its tracksuits, you do not know the brand.
