First off Happy July 4th everyone, what’s your plans today? BBQs…I guess haha? I’ll be going to two today! But before I go out, here’s a lil post…. In case some of you guys are just chillaxin’ at home, here’s a lil something to do. I don’t know about you but I’ve been obsessing over the Christopher Kane Spring 2009 Gorilla Dresses/Tees for a min but they’re way out of my budget to even think about it, plus the dresses are basically sold out even at a hefty price. Anyway, although Rihanna and Julia Restoin-Roitfeld isn’t wearing the exact print, it’s almost the same dress. Rihanna wears the Christopher Kane Gorilla Print Dress with Miu Miu Sandals and a gold necklace while Julia wears the Christopher Kane Baboon Print Dress with a black blazer, black tights, black shoes and a black Chanel bag- who do you think wore it best? I’d have to go with Rihanna, the dress is interesting enough to go alone, loves it! The dresses are sold out but the unisex tees in Chimp, Baboon and Mandrill prints are still available at Luisaviaroma.com for about US$351, do you dig it? Or perhaps you can get a similar gorilla tee via eBay, I might consider that haha. More pics after the jump…

Rihanna’s is better because she wore the dress itself rather than over a blazer and stockings. I think the dress should be worn by itself like Ri did to show the print.

I love Rihanna, but I gotta go with Julia, I really like how she paired it with the blazer and tights, although it looks more Fall/Wintery like that.

This wasn’t a very good picture of the day RIhanna wore the dress – she looked fabulous – her legs are so long…but in this picture – it just doesn’t do her any justice. This is a fun dress – not quite understanding why the other girl put it with a blazer and stockings????

i think neither of them wore it well it looks better with tights and heels but not with ablazer it’s already got so much going for it why bother… i’m pretty sure i’ve seen this on some one else looking 10x better plus aren’t they slightly different dresses

I must dissent on this one. This dress is plain ugly. The tees I will admit are pretty rocking. I am all for irreverent and all but this dress just looks cheap, whatever the price tag.

I agree with “asdf” Thats an awful picture of the day Rhi wore that dress. She looked fabulous. In this pic it looks like shes wearing flats and on her way to the farmers market when in actuality she has amazing long legs.
I am soo over the blazer/leggings girls feel to pair up with every outfit…when will the madness stop!!!?

Rhianna!!!!! looks more tough n rocky, her print is nicer, too. Julia, she always dresses like that….typical chanel bag, long blazer n tights.
