I’ve actually known about the Richard Chai for Keds collaboration for awhile already just had to keep hush about it, but this is the first time I’ve seen how the shoes look. WWD reports that the Richard Chai and Keds collaborated on a small men’s collection of high and low tops styles from Madras canvas to charcoal gray leather, with edgy details such as zippers in lieu of laces. The shoes will be released in January 2010 and prices has yet to be determined, I’m hoping they’ll size it down for the women as well. The collection is nice, gotta love your designer Keds!

“They’re such an iconic brand,” says Chai, a self-professed sneaker buff. “Initially, I just wanted to use their shoes for the show, but then the conversations started.”

I believe the Keds will debut on his runway show, keep an eye out! Besides Keds, Richard Chai is also working with “Alexandre Birman on thong booties for his Richard Chai — Love footwear collection, although that collaboration is still solely runway-bound.” #NYFW
