Filipino food, I’ve only tried two Filipino restaurants before, back in 2007 I first went to Elvie’s Turo-Turo and last month I went to Grill 21 twice. Grill 21 was a much better dining experience since it’s a sit down spot rather than cafeteria-style at Elvie’s, the restaurant is super tiny but I do like the homey atmosphere and the owner/staff are really nice and accommodating. I’ve combined my two visits in one post, the first time I went was with a lot of people, ordered almost everything. The food and dessert was super amazing, love it and will def go back. Prices are moderate and this is def one of my fave spots now. If you love Filipino food and/or never tried before I definitely recommend this restaurant. Be sure to make a reservation because the restaurant is really small so big parties may need advance notice. Enjoy!

Hahah that’s so weird to see Filipino food served like that. I’m so used to the food being in styrofoam or in a pot at home. That kare-kare looks so good though (the pic above the halo-halo) and I’m craving some!

Oo nice, I’ll definitely try this soon. I also like Engeline’s in Queens.. I lived in the Philippines for over a decade and in my opinion, their food is pretty authentic. =)
