Last night was all about Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual Costume Institute gala,“American Woman” was the theme for the Met Ball. It was the trending topic on Twitter and everyone was looking forward to knowing who wore what. Gap, who sponsored this year’s ball, collaborated with designers Sophie Theallet, Rodarte, Thakoon and Alexander Wang. Celebs dressed in Gap designer collections includes: M.I.A. and Zoë Kravitz (Alexander Wang for Gap) Kirsten Dunst (Rodarte for Gap), Kerry Washington and Riley Keough (Thakoon for Gap), and Jessica Alba and Vera Farmiga (Sophie Theallet). The dresses were auctioned today, with proceeds going to the Costume Institute. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were missed at the Met Gala, wonder why they didn’t attend. The highlight of the night was a special performance by Lady Gaga, she was a guest of Miuccia Prada but didn’t walk the red carpet because she was too busy preparing for her performance. During the performance Gaga wore a nude catsuit encrusted with crystals designed by Armani Privé. My favorite red carpet looks were Diane Kruger in Calvin Klein Collection, Chloë Sevigny in Proenza Schouler, Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad, Rachel Bilson in Louis Vuitton, Zoe Saldana in Calvin Klein Collection and Kirsten Dunst in Rodarte for Gap.
