For those that follow me on Instagram (@nitro_licious), Twitter and Facebook already know that I’m currently in Chicago for some work. I’ll be a bit slow on updating the blog until I’m back in NYC but I’m posting regularly on Instagram, I love it (who doesn’t right?)! Follow me @nitro_licious if ya want. I personally have never watched an episode of NBC’s Fashion Star since I don’t watch TV on a regular basis and I don’t really like a set schedule on when to watch what. But after seeing Fashion Star’s winner Kara Laricks designs for H&M I really liked it. I especially can relate to her since she said if she had a choice her entire collection would be black and white, my kinda gurl haha! On the season finale of Fashion Star, Kara Laricks won $6 million in orders for capsule collections in Macy’s, H&M and Saks Fifth Avenue stores. Kara designs androgynous clothing for women, inspired by her love of menswear and an avant-garde Japanese design aesthetic. Best known for her hoodie scarves, collar-plus-tie, she puts a spin on what is deemed traditional women’s fashion. The winning collections are already in stores, I hope when I get back to NYC there’s still a few black and white pieces left! Do you like her collection for H&M? And how cute is the campaign featuring herself and model Joan Smalls? LOVE!
For those of you that were waiting for the release of the Pamela Love for J.Crew capsule collection it’s now available at jcrew.com and select J.Crew stores! The collection consists of 3 pieces: Lorimer skinny jean ($295), chevron belt ($135) and Lorimer jean jacket ($295), I’m in love with the jacket! Get it while you can. Do you like?
Ohhh how cute is this new MAC Hey, Sailor! collection? Love the packaging and the collection is quite big, so there’s bound to be something for everyone. I also really like Suntints, so I can’t wait to try the new tints. The bags are quite fun too right? This collection makes me really excited for the summer. The collection is available for a limited time starting from May 24, 2012 through July 5, 2012 at MAC counters and maccosmetics.com.
Oh super excited about OPI‘s new Pure Lacquer Nail Apps collection, it’s about time they release it! The rain in NYC has been dreadful but I’m thankful that on Mother’s Day it was gorgeous out! Hung out with mama on her day and I’m finally done fixing up my apt, just need to unpack and hang everything back in my newly done closet which will take forever.
