It saddens me that every year a really big natural disaster happens and many are left without their homes and lose their loved ones. My prayers and love to the Japanese and those affected by one of the largest, 8.9 earthquake, ever recorded which unleashed an enormous tsunami along with many many aftershocks. I’m getting goosebumps just from typing this, I’d like to take a moment to help Japan but please be sure your money is going to a legit organization. I choose to always donate to American Red Cross (I’ve donated already) and if you’re trying to locate a loved one or have info about someone, please go to Google Person Finder and leave info.

Japan is one of my favorite places in the world and I’m praying for their speedy recovery. Please donate as much as you can. Thank you.

HAITI Needs Your HELP

The people of Haiti needs your help. With estimates that as many as three million people may be affected by the catastrophic earthquake which hit Haiti Tuesday, let’s all lend a helping hand. I’ve combined some ways of how you can help, please do what you can to help the victims whether it’s sending money, supplies, food or clothing. My prayers goes out to the people of Haiti.

For those interested in helping immediately, simply text “HAITI” to “90999″ and a donation of $10 will be given automatically to the American Red Cross to help with relief efforts. Your donation will be charged to your mobile phone bill, and one hundred percent of this donation goes directly to the Red Cross. There is no per-text fee for this service for customers who do not have a messaging plan, nor will the text be decremented from messaging plans.

Yo can also text “YELE” to 501501 to support Haitian-born musician and featured T-Mobile MyTouch™ 3G artist Wyclef Jean’s Yele Haiti fund. For more information, please visit http://www.yele.org.

Help children affected by the earthquake in Haiti, make a donation via UNICEF.

ICRC is helping reconnect separated families in Haiti through a special web site which enables people in Haiti and outside the country to search for and register the names of relatives missing since the earthquake. In the first twenty-four hours, more than 6,000 people have been registered.

Welcome to the new nitro:licious! For those that logged onto my blog this weekend may have already noticed the new theme, I’ve been working hard on this new blog design for quite a long time. Although I must admit that I was a bit hesitant on changing how it looks since I was so attached to the first design, it’s been three years so I thought it was time for an “outfit” change. There may be tweaks here and there throughout the week, so please bear with me.
