I love nail polish and is super excited whenever I get a new collection releases in my inbox! For Spring 2012, essie pays tribute to the beautiful, ambitious woman of action. “Fortune favors the bold,” says essie brand founder and global creative director Essie Weingarten. “I am so inspired by women who dream big, go with their instincts and always manage to put their best self forward.” The collection includes 6 shades: navigate her (new growth green), a crewed interest (pretty pursuable peach), olé caliente (spicy scarlet fever), orange, it’s obvious! (headstrong outspoken orange), to buy or not to buy (limitless lilac shimmer) and tour de finance (incandescent fuchsia futures). Cute! The Spring 2012 collection will be available in February 2012 for a suggested retail price of $8.00 per bottle in salons and beauty destinations worldwide.
I’m currently obsessed with the eos Lip Balm Smooth Spheres (yes, I’m cheating on my usual Vaseline for my lips!), I’ve been using it for the past couple of months and love it! I’ve only tried the strawberry sorbet flavor (it smells so good!) but I’m definitely going to try all the flavors, there are 6 in total. Flavors include: Summer Fruit, Lemon Drop SPF 15, Strawberry Sorbet, Honeysuckle Honeydew, Medicated Tangerine and Sweet Mint, which would you like? Not only does it smell good, it’s easy to use and does not require me to dip my hands in the jar and it keeps my lips buttery soft. LOVE IT!
How cute is this Beth Ditto for MAC Cosmetics campaign? WWD reports that the singer created a limited edition collaboration with MAC which will hit counters in June. Can’t wait to see the full collection, stay tuned!
Blue is one of my favorite colors and dark eyeliner as well, so obviously I love the Chanel Spring/Sumer 2012 Haute Couture Show makeup. Peter Philips, Creative Director of CHANEL Makeup created the runway beauty looks, and we all know we’ll go cray for the nail polish. How pretty is the Sky Line nail color? I love the name too! Skin prepared with HYDRA BEAUTY SERUM Hydration Protection Radiance (available April 2012) The Complexion: The Eyes: The Cheeks: The Lips: The Nails: * The Exclusive Collection BLEU ILLUSION will be available at specific points of sales in July 2012
Valentine’s Day is around the corner and Sally Hansen will be releasing limited edition Salon Effects prints for the special occasion. The are five flirty prints for the special day: Are You Single? (a pink swirl of hearts and arabesques), Speed Dating (multi-sized pink hearts against a white background), Love Always (a print of love phrases and hearts), How Romantic! (pink, purple and red plaid) and Cross My Heart (pink x’s and hearts). Available starting in February 2012. I want all of it! You can buy these for $9.99 at Duane Reade, Amazon.com and Target.com.
Spring seems far away since I feel like winter hasn’t even really arrived yet but we can all dream a little. MAC‘s new Vera collection makes me happy…

Last night Benefit Cosmetics hosted a bloggers event to launch its new Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Liquid Foundation. How fab is the name? As I mentioned before I’m not a foundation kinda gurl, I just feel like I don’t know how to apply it correctly and I don’t like the look of heavy foundation. But I’m always up to try new things. At the event I got a color check, I’m ‘Beige’ and also got to try the new liquid foundation (which is also their first!) and quite liked it. I liked it because it’s brightening, light (you can build on it for complete coverage but I like it very minimal), oil-free and has SPF 25. The brightening is instant and it was a quick *pat pat pat* on the face without looking like a clown. There are 9 shades in the collection and is scheduled to launch in March at Benefit Cosmetics stores, February 15th on benefitcosmetics.com and February 2nd on HSN. Retail price: $34.
