Jason Wu for Target Private Launch Event

Last week Jason Wu and Target celebrated the Jason Wu for Target collection launch at Skylight Soho New York with a private shopping event before it arrives in stores on February 5th, as well as performances by French dance-pop group Yelle and DJ Harley Viera-Newton. At the event I spotted designer Jason Wu, Blake Lively, Chloe Moretz, Jaime King and Tyson Beckford. And one of the best things was the Ladurée macarons station, it’s so yum! The shopping area was cray, everyone including celebrities were trying to get a piece from the collection! Not all the pieces were available that night, I picked up the Trench Coat in both colors (black and navy), the Long-Sleeved Blouse (blush) and Dot-Printed Shirt Dress (cream), there are a few other things that I wanted that weren’t available so I’ll be buying on Target.com when it releases. Super cute and fun event!

the feast of the black dragon…

On the start of Chinese New Year, Hennessy and Origami invited friends and family to dinner to celebrate the Year of the Dragon at Buddakan. We also got a front row seat to see the traditional Lion Dance performance by Luen Hing, haven’t seen that for a min! The dinner was cray, I think it was like a 10-course meal or something, I didn’t even have room for dessert but it was all really yummy. I had an amazing time that night! Many thanks to Jen @ Hennessy, Kevin @ Origami and a big shout-out to Team Epiphany, I didn’t forget you guys !

Miu Miu Musings V

Two weeks ago I was invited to Miu Miu Musings V, The Dawn of the Modern Woman, which took place at the Miu Miu 57th street store in NYC. Miu Miu Musings V was hosted by Shala Monroque and moderated by André Leon Talley and writer Sam Wasson. I swear I can listen to André Leon Talley talk all day, he’s so funny. I was quite surprised to see Solange Knowles at the event, it was my first time seeing here there, she’s actually really down to earth. Great event as always.

After Miu Miu Musings, I joined Miu Miu for dinner at The Monkey Bar. The restaurant is really cute and the food was great too, def will go back!

Last Wednesday before I flew out to LA, I went to two events: the T-Mobile x Nokia Lumia 710 party and Rebecca Minkoff x Baby-G party. It was seriously a tech x fashion night out which I love.

Rebecca Minkoff and Baby-G celebrated their collaboration at The Back Room, a spot I pass by all the time but never been in, super cool spot! Congrats to Rebecca once again, really nice watch, I love mine.

The T-Mobile party at Skylight Soho was to celebrate the Nokia Lumia 710, the first Windows Phone from Nokia in the US. The device is expected to be available at T-Mobile retail stores, select dealers and retailers nationwide, and online starting Jan. 11. Sadly, I didn’t get a chance to play with the phone since everyone was hogging it up haha.

H&M Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Pop-Up Shop Event

On Monday I stopped by the opening event of the H&M Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Pop-Up Shop to meet Trish Summerville and pre-shop the collection. I love the collection, I left with a handful of stuff and was so happy to meet Trish, she’s super stylin’! If you haven’t stopped by the pop-up shop in NYC (open till December 16th), you must, really cool shop (deets here). Can’t wait to rock out all my new gear from the collection, obsessed!

GAGA’S WORKSHOP Opening Event at Barneys New York

Last Monday (11.21) I went to the opening event of GAGA’S WORKSHOP at Barneys New York to shop the exclusive range of limited edition products before it opened to the public at 11:59pm. GAGA’S WORKSHOP took over the entire 5th floor of the Madison Avenue Men’s store at BNY with eight stations reflecting the product categories available for ale, as well as a number of iconic references to Lady Gaga herself.

The opening event was pretty cray and of course was super happy to see Lady Gaga in person again, she was dressed in custom Chanel that Karl Lagerfeld designed for her, so amazing! She was there for the ribbon cutting and also to shop as well. Her stylist Nicola Formichetti was there too, it’s always good seeing him. Also in attendance was Prabal Gurung, Alexander Wang, Blake Lively, Alan Cumming, Christian Siriano, Pamela Love and many others, everyone was so enthusiastic about shopping Gaga’s goods.

If you still haven’t had a chance to check out the pop-up shop, it’s open from November 21st through January 2nd at the Barneys New York at the Madison Avenue flagship location with access to the Workshop through the 60th street entrance and on barneys.com. I bought some press on nails designed and created by Naomi Yasuda, she also did my nails before at the MOB x Baby-G Party, she’s fab! Can’t wait to use the nails! Definitely will stop by to buy more stuff when I get back from Europe. Check out the recap from the party after the jump…

Sunglass Hut Holiday Gifting Experience

This past Wednesday, I stopped by Sunglass Hut‘s holiday gifting experience event to check out what’s new in store and also got to choose a pair of sunglasses for myself. I always find gifting the perfect present really hard especially for guys. But I’ve always had luck with sunglasses, when I choose a pair of sunglasses for someone else I always go with classics because not everyone likes crazy funky glasses like myself. You can’t go wrong with classic styles and basic colors especially for guys, my choices are Ray-Ban, Persol, Oakley and Mosley Tribes. For my girlfriends, I’m always drawn to Chanel, Prada, Miu Miu and Versace (love these January J sunnies).

At the event I was drawn to two pairs of sunnies, both Chanel. One pair is the Chanel Prestige Mirror Lens Aviator and the other is a limited edition Chanel Quilted Mirror Sunglasses, I ended up with the latter. The sunnies I got are soooo special, not only is the shape nice but the quilted arm has a hidden secret, it doubles as a mirror! How cool and convenient is that? Have you started Christmas shopping yet? I need to start soon…
