Jason Wu for Target Private Launch Event

Last week Jason Wu and Target celebrated the Jason Wu for Target collection launch at Skylight Soho New York with a private shopping event before it arrives in stores on February 5th, as well as performances by French dance-pop group Yelle and DJ Harley Viera-Newton. At the event I spotted designer Jason Wu, Blake Lively, Chloe Moretz, Jaime King and Tyson Beckford. And one of the best things was the Ladurée macarons station, it’s so yum! The shopping area was cray, everyone including celebrities were trying to get a piece from the collection! Not all the pieces were available that night, I picked up the Trench Coat in both colors (black and navy), the Long-Sleeved Blouse (blush) and Dot-Printed Shirt Dress (cream), there are a few other things that I wanted that weren’t available so I’ll be buying on Target.com when it releases. Super cute and fun event!

the feast of the black dragon…

On the start of Chinese New Year, Hennessy and Origami invited friends and family to dinner to celebrate the Year of the Dragon at Buddakan. We also got a front row seat to see the traditional Lion Dance performance by Luen Hing, haven’t seen that for a min! The dinner was cray, I think it was like a 10-course meal or something, I didn’t even have room for dessert but it was all really yummy. I had an amazing time that night! Many thanks to Jen @ Hennessy, Kevin @ Origami and a big shout-out to Team Epiphany, I didn’t forget you guys !

Happy Chinese New Year! Took these photos on Chinese New Year’s Eve before having family dinner, it is very important to spend quality time with the fam on this day. Had a great family get together and had some yummy food. And of course I had to wear a pop of red for good luck! Wishing everyone luck in the Year of the Dragon! I’ll post my big Chinese New Year feast photos in the next post!

Shocking Pink!

Took these photos the first week of January, a few days after I got my hair cut by Travis and touch up of my ombré color by my fave colorist, Zoe @ Bumble and bumble (thank you Bb.!). Remember she did my ombré hair last year? Last time I got a blue strip, this time Zoe mixed up a fuchsia color, love the pop of neon! And of course the ONE warm day out of the month I took advantage and rocked out my neon pink Christopher Kane x J Brand Denim Jacket, been waiting for the perfect weather. Pink on pink, goes so well with my hair ha! Also, super love my new Versace sunnies from my gurl JW (xo!)!

I finally got a pair of the Rebecca Minkoff x VOGUE Eyewear/CFDA “Bowery” sunglasses for Christmas from Luxottica, I’ve been eying them since I posted about them! I love the combination of black and gold, hence my logo. I still can’t believe how fast 2011 past!

Valencia 2011 Day 3 – Last day!

I finally got around to editing the rest of my Valencia trip photos from November 2011 (lazy me), seems like a long time but it was just a couple of months ago. On the last day of my trip, it was another full day of activities.

Early in the morning I was invited to the City of Arts and Sciences, the architecture of the place was simply amazing, even just from the outside. I had a guided tour around the Science Museum Príncipe Felipe, Hemisfèric (Imax Dome, Planetarium), Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia (Opera House), Agora, Umbracle and Oceanographic. My favorite part was the Oceanogràfic, it is the largest aquarium in Europe, pretty amazing! After the long tour, I had lunch at the Restaurante Submarino at L’Oceanografic (inside Oceanographic). It was a great scene, I ate my Lobster Paella underground, surrounded by marine life behind the glass. It felt like I was inside a big aquarium, loved it.

Then onto Bioparc, one of the best zoos I’ve been to so far. Most of the animals are not enclosed in glass or cages, they seem to be able to run freely in a big space like their natural habitats. I felt the closeness to the animals, I think this is the closest I’ve seen some of the animals. Really a must go if you’re in Valencia. After the zoo, I had some time to kill before dinner. So sat down at Valor for some hot chocolate and churros.

I was seriously pooped by the time all this was done but I had a dinner to attend to, VLC made a really good choice and invited me to Seu Xerea by Stephen Anderson. I really enjoyed the food there, it was really good. Defnitely the best meal I’ve had in Valencia. I had a good time in Valencia, it was a different experience from my other trips, although small but very interesting.
