I’m still obsessed with this Versace January J VE2120 Sunglasses that released for SS’11, I might need to pay a visit to Sunglass Hut or Versace to pick-up a pair. I’m normally not really a fan of frameless sunnies but this pair is pretty sweet and I don’t really have anything like that in my collection. This pair of sunnies have a retro feel and a cat-eye curved silhouette, this frame comes in the classic shades of black with the Medusa 3D detailing in silver or gold. One-body lens and the entirely metallic structure make this model unique! Spotted on January Jones (of course) and Lady Gaga. Do you like?
Last Monday (11.21) I went to the opening event of GAGA’S WORKSHOP at Barneys New York to shop the exclusive range of limited edition products before it opened to the public at 11:59pm. GAGA’S WORKSHOP took over the entire 5th floor of the Madison Avenue Men’s store at BNY with eight stations reflecting the product categories available for ale, as well as a number of iconic references to Lady Gaga herself. The opening event was pretty cray and of course was super happy to see Lady Gaga in person again, she was dressed in custom Chanel that Karl Lagerfeld designed for her, so amazing! She was there for the ribbon cutting and also to shop as well. Her stylist Nicola Formichetti was there too, it’s always good seeing him. Also in attendance was Prabal Gurung, Alexander Wang, Blake Lively, Alan Cumming, Christian Siriano, Pamela Love and many others, everyone was so enthusiastic about shopping Gaga’s goods. If you still haven’t had a chance to check out the pop-up shop, it’s open from November 21st through January 2nd at the Barneys New York at the Madison Avenue flagship location with access to the Workshop through the 60th street entrance and on barneys.com. You can also shop GAGA’S WORKSHOP online here. I bought some press on nails designed and created by Naomi Yasuda, she also did my nails before at the MOB x Baby-G Party, she’s fab! Can’t wait to use the nails! Definitely will stop by to buy more stuff when I get back from Europe. Check out the recap from the party after the jump…
Happy Halloween! I think Mother Nature was playing a joke on us this past Saturday, snow and rain with super chilling winds and the next day was sunny clear skies? Absurd! Anyways, did any of you guys go out on Saturday despite the nasty weather? I did! Most of the time I’d get dressed up with my friends but my friends decided to stay home this year. Some are newlyweds and new moms, ah you know the drill. Luckily my friend Jennifer threw a Halloween party at Ward III, I stayed for a bit until a fight broke out with some random drunk peeps. Then headed to Tribeca Grand’s Halloween party for a second. TG had some crazy looking displays, couldn’t help myself but snap photos! This year I decided to do something more dramatic, I’m not really into the crazy sexy Halloween costumes. I like crazy, scary looking costumes. Thanks to the talented Erik Maisonette at MAC Cosmetics Soho for transforming me into Lady Gaga’s skeleton zombie gurl look in Born This Way. He did an amazing job right? Looks pretty close right? I was pretty blown away, took about an hour to complete the makeup and everyone was snapping photos when they came into the store and saying how amazing it looked. Many thanks to MAC Cosmetics for the hookup, don’t think I can go another year without crazy makeup now! So didn’t want to copy Lady Gaga’s look from head to toe so I didn’t get a wig and wore my own clothes and worked around it, I wanted to make the look my own. And my nOir Jewelry x Disney Dinosaur Bones Rib Cage Cuff made the look complete! It was really fun! What did you dress up as? Outfit: Lanvin for H&M Blazer (courtesy of H&M), DimePiece Mr. Madame Button-up w/ Bow-Tie (courtesy DimePiece), H&M Faux Leather Skirt + Opaque Tights, nOir Jewelry x Disney Dinosaur Bones Rib Cage Cuff + DC Comics Cat Woman Claw (courtesy of nOir), Jeffrey Campbell Busted Wedge Bootie (courtesy of Karmaloop), Chanel Bag More pics after the jump…
One of my favorite days…Lady Gaga’s Monster Ball 2011 at Newark, NJ!! I’ve been dying to see Gaga live and my dream finally came true, this is one of the perks of being part of the Virgin Mobile 25. There were a lot of little monsters dressed up as Gaga, I loved that everyone was in the spirit. You can check out fan photos at Virgin Mobile’s Live FB page, there are lots of interesting looks. Gaga’s concert was beyond words, it was amazing. I loved her before the concert and I love her even more after, it’s great that she expresses how much she loves her little monsters. In honor of the concert, I wore my Lady Gaga x MAC Lipglass…I’ve been saving it haha. After the concert I got to meet Gaga backstage, she’s sooo cute! I was so happy to meet her again, we were both wearing leather moto jackets (just sayin’ haha). I brought YM with me, I can always count on him for great photos (photos below are shot by him and I, unless credited). Many thanks to Virgin Mobile, had a blast…definitely an unforgettable night!! Outfit: Tracy Feith for Target Leather Moto Jacket, 9AM Black Top, H&M Faux Leather Skirt + Tights + Veil, ACNE Acatoma Wedge, Vintage Chanel Bag, Prada Baroque Minimal Sunglasses (courtesy of Luxottica)
Lady Gaga made her runway debut at Thierry Mugler‘s Fall/Winter 2011 womenwear fashion show under her stylist, Nicola Formichetti’s creative direction. Wish I was there for it, looked pretty cool, well she makes everything cool doesn’t she? Formichetti also informed Style.com that his biggest fan has already “bought the entire collection in every color.” I can see Gaga in every piece from the collection, can’t wait to see more… Also, props to Gaga for walking in 12inch (?) shoes! If she can do it, I don’t see why the models can’t do 5-6 inches without falling lols!
Back in December I posted that MAC Cosmetics has signed on Lady Gaga for a second year as the spokeswoman for its Viva Glam campaign. The collection has released with a new shade inspired by The Lady and her passions, in both Lipstick and Lipglass. 100% of the proceeds from the MAC Viva Glam collection goes toward the MAC AIDS Fund, so you can look good and feel good. The campaign was shot by Nick Knight and styled by Nicola Formichetti. You can buy now through February 2012! Peep the products after the jump…
By now I’m sure all of you guys have heard Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” song, some of you may like or dislike it and find it to be very similar to Madonna’s “Express Yourself” song. I’m not sure about you but I can’t deny this song is catchy and I do like it, perhaps I’m biased towards Gaga haha. And of course the video is amazing, see for yourself. And how amazing is Gaga’s body, seriously perfect for her height! Check out the video after the jump… |
