Super behind, but here’s the recap for day 2 in Vancouver, BC for the Nike Women’s Training Spring 2010 Media Summit. Woke up super early for presentations, learned about some of Nike’s key training products for Spring 2010 and saw their latest Nike Zoom Fly Sisters collection, got to meet 8 fab athletes and learned about their training routines and they also demonstrated some of their daily training routines- tough. Athletes that were in attendance: Snowboard – Ellery Hollingsworth, Hockey – Angela Ruggiero, Skeleton – Katie Uhlaender, Curling – Nicole Joraanstad, Speed Skating – Katherine Reutter, Alpine Ski Racing – Julia Mancuso and Ice Skating – medal contenders Keauna McLaughlin and Rockne Brubaker. One of my favorite winter Olympic game is ice skating, Keauna McLaughlin and Rockne Brubaker showed us a little bit of their long routine, they skated to the Slumdog Millionaire theme song. Can’t wait to see more! After a long day of presentations, we headed to Yaletown for dinner at Goldfish. The food was decent, but not as good as the Chinese food in NYC. Nike provided a lot of food, it was nuts, had to sleep right after…food coma! More pics after the jump…
Most of you guys know that I’m at Vancouver, BC for the Nike Women’s Training Spring 2010 Media Summit, I’ve got a ton of pictures to post soon- stay tuned. When I got back into my hotel room after dinner yesterday with Nike, on my bed was the Nike Fitness Package, similar to the one I received last year. Today, I’ll be putting the gear to good use for the Nike Training Club workout, oh boy! For those that follow my Twitter, already got the first look at the Nike Fly Sister collection for spring 2010. Stay tuned for more posts… UPDATE: Apparently the wrong shoes got packed in my bag, got the replacement pair when I got to the workout. Got to wear the new spring 2010 Nike Zoom Fly Sister One+ (releasing January 1, 2010) kicks while working out, it was intense but the kicks held up to my expectations. Super lightweight (weight of an Apple iPod Nano) and love the new colors, kinda reminds me of the Lunaracer…don’t you think? Peep below for pics, added a few new ones. More pics after the jump… Wow, my friend just sent over a crazy viral Nike video of Gossip Girl Taylor Momsen escaping the paparrazzis after her workout, but in a superhuman way! She was rocking a Nike sports bra top and a pair of the Nike Zoom Sister One+ in blue (the pair that I got too) doing some crazy moves. In the beginning it really did look like just any paparrazzi chase but when she managed to get to the stairs watch her dodge the paparazzis with her “super powers”! So dope! Gotta give it to Nike!
Back in October, Nike held a Women’s Training 2009 Media Summit at their headquarters in Portland, Oregon to introduce the first-ever training shoe with women’s-specific technology, the Nike Zoom Sister Series. You’ve all got the first look of the Nike Zoom Sister One+ that will be first to release from the Sister Series, I was also lucky enough to be one of the first to workout in the sneakers and experience the technology first-hand. The sneaker is super lightweight and comfortable, it combines the best looking upper with Nike’s best technologies for your workout. It’s the first ever shoe to introduce revolutionary DiamondFLX technology which enhances multi-directional flexibility and movement along with Flywire technology and Zoom Air. It’s the ultimate women’s only training shoe, built strictly for women and it allows one to become better, faster and more agile. Nike created five 15 second spots which will be posted on Nikewomen.com on Friday, December 26th to coincide with Nike’s highly anticipated training shoe – Zoom Sister One+ release. nitro:licious got an exclusive sneak peek of the “Chameleon” spot which shows the range of colorways in the Zoom Zoom Sister One+ collection, check it out- pretty dope video! STYLE #: 344986 Last week I was out at the Nike Headquarters in Portland, Oregon attending a Women’s Media Training Summit where they introduced the first-ever training shoe with women’s-specific technology. You’ve seen the first look when I posted up the Nike Fitness Package that arrived the day before training started. Sister One+ combines the best looking upper with Nike’s best technologies for your workout. The Sister One features the new Nike DiamondFLX technology which is designed to enhance multi-directional flexibility. The strategically-placed, diamond-shaped flex grooves provide the ideal amount of flexibility for a variety of training activities. In addition, it keeps the shoe low-profile and lightweight. The key features of the shoes are the Flywire technology, Zoom Air and Nike DiamondFLX technology. I’ve experienced the shoe first-hand and it is super lightweight and comfortable, definitely an ideal shoe for the ladies hitting the gym and for a change the workout shoe actually looks good. The Nike Zoom Sister One+ will be released on December 26, 2008, look out for these! More pics after the jump… |
