Keith Haring x PROPER ATTIRE for World AIDS Day

Keith Haring Foundation, Planned Parenthood and PROPER ATTIRE collaborated in honor of World AIDS Day. Together, they have created a limited-edition condom that now makes it creative and chic to use protection. Keith Haring for PROPER ATTIRE condoms will premiere December 1, 2009, at the exclusive Mondrian in South Beach, throughout Art Basel, Mondrian in Los Angeles and the new Kiki Di Montparnasse store. The line will also be available for purchase online at www.properattirecondoms.com and www.haring.com. Proceeds from the sales of PROPER ATTIRE condoms benefit Planned Parenthood.

Aside from providing the public with a stylish new way to practice safer sex; the goal of this new fashion item is to change the public’s perception of the use of condoms. Planned Parenthood operates more than 850 health centers nationwide, providing medical care and sexuality education for millions of women, men, and teenagers each year. PPFA believes that providing PROPER ATTIRE condoms at Planned Parenthood affiliate health centers and in selected retail channels throughout the U.S. encourages women to have safer sex – in style.

Marc Jacobs’ launched his Lola scent back in August and I loved the free-form flowers top that was used on the bottle. For the holidays, Marc Jacobs released a limited edition Lola Solid Perfume Ring available exclusively at Sephora.com for $42. The solid perfume ring has notes of Pink Peppercorn, Pear, Grapefruit, Rose, Peony, Geranium, Vanilla, Tonka Bean and Musk featuring the floral bouquet used on the perfume bottle and also comes with a leather satchel. Kaws x Kiehl’s Limited Edition Crème de Corps

Never saw this coming but collaborations are meant to surprise, one of my favorite skin care brand, Kiehl’s, has teamed up of my favorite New York-based artist, KAWS, to recreate their classic Creme de Corps labels. 100% of Kiehl’s net profits from the sale of Limited Edition Crème de Corps will Support RxART. The special edition with bottle caps will be available exclusively at colette for Europe by the end of the month, retailing for about US$77. 100% of the profits will be given to “Les Orphelins du Sida”.

Lady Gaga & Cyndi Lauper for MAC Viva Glam

Last night, I attended the MAC press event where they named the latest spokespeople of the MAC Viva Glam campaign, Lady Gaga and Cyndi Lauper. I was super excited to meet both of them especially Gaga, she’s super cute and nice. The “From Our Lips” campaign will launch officially on February 25, 2010 featuring the MAC Viva Glam Gaga Lipstick and Viva Glam Cyndi Lipstick, $14 each, available in North American on March 18, 2010 with 100 percent of the proceeds being donated to the MAC AIDS Fund according to WWD. After the MAC event, Lady Gaga headed to the 13th Annual 2009 ACE Awards at Cipriani where she received the Stylemaker Award.

SK-II Skin Signature Collection

I was first introduced to SK-II when I visited Hong Kong a few years ago, apparently it’s very popular amongst the Asian community. I personally haven’t tried the brand out yet but my friends from HK loves it, have you tried? For fall 2009, SK-II introduces the new Skin Signature Series, founded following a dermatological study revealing that each individual’s skin has a tipping point, where elasticity and resilience begin to decrease more rapidly. SK-II recently developed a new clinical measurement tool to evaluate ones Skin Power (radiance, smoothness, and firm appearance improvements) and did a joint study to record women ranging in age from 22-55 and found the Skin Tipping Point between the ages of 30-40. Although I’m not at that age point yet, learning about it now doesn’t hurt. To help stave off the onset of tipping point effects, SK-II researched a bounty of ingredients, and introduces Oli-Vityl, derived from Tuscan olives to increase anti-oxidant activity and further promote elasticity and resilience.

The two new products includes a Skin Signature Cream ($195) – “Power cream” designed for superior hydration while prolonging firmness and Skin Signature 3D Redefining Mask ($135) – Two-piece stretchable mask designed to simultaneously address the needs of both the upper hemisphere of the face, tracking horizontal brow lines; and vertical sagging at the jaw line. Dove Body Washes with Nutrium Moisture

I’m sure a lot of people can agree that the harsh winter weather makes our skin dry and flaky, I always have that problem. And to be honest, sometimes I get quite lazy to moisture after showers especially when it’s cold. For body washes I don’t really stick to one particular body wash, I like to switch around and try new ones out, and I believe it’s recommended so your skin doesn’t get used to it. As the weather got colder, I tried out these new Dove body washes with Nutrium Moisture technology, a breakthrough formula of soybean oil and natural lipids that can nourish deep down, and found it to work pretty well on my skin. According to Dove, the Nutrium Moisture body washes cares for surface skin ten layers deep and this first-of-its-kind body wash technology takes a dual approach to healthy, nourished skin by preserving both proteins and lipids during cleansing. The new body washes were also honored with one of Allure’s 2009 Best of Beauty Breakthrough Awards.

I’ve been using different types of Dove body washes for awhile and I like the brand so I wasn’t hesitant to try these new Nutrium Moisture body washes. They’re great for people with dry skin, like myself, which needs a lot of moisture. After showering, my skin felt soft and was less tight and itchy, saved me the trouble of applying body lotion. Give it a try if you’re a lazy one like me lol.
