Alexander Wang Spring 2010 Shoes & Handbags [First Look]

Alexander Wang’s sporty spring 2010 collection was fun and classic, he always manages to pump out some really nice pieces. Football never looked so good until Alexander Wang re-imagined it, from varsity jackets to pigskin football-shaped clutches I want it all. Nylon featured a few of the spring 2010 shoes and handbags just now and I’m loving it all! Can’t wait to see more!

R.I.P. DAUL KIM [1989 2009]

Tragic news broke on The Cut that model Daul Kim was found dead in Paris this morning. The cause of death remains unknown at this time, but a source tells The Cut the 20-year-old committed suicide. Daul’s untimely death came to all of us in shock, I was just talking about her to my friend yesterday about casting Asian models for her company’s ad campaign. May she rest in peace, my condolences to her family and friends.

Daul Kim featured in the Second Editorial for Lurve shot by Kate Bellm.

Pharrell Williams for Moncler

Pharrell Williams teamed up with Moncler to design a special edition of men’s jackets for fall 2010. According to WWD, the all-black lineup includes a “pacifist” version of the bulletproof jacket, with Velcro-ed side slits, reversible matte/shiny down vests and elongated puffers. The jackets are all made using textiles from Bionic, a 3-yr-old company Pharrell controls. Bionic spins yarns and fabrics from recycled plastic bottles. The printed linings were shot at dusk by Japanese artist Keita Sugiura featuring “art and nature with evocative images of lush forests”, prices and stockists to be announced at a later time. Are you guys read to rock a “bulletproof” Moncler vest out?

Rodarte for Target in Vogue December 2009 Issue
Photography: Daniel Jackson

The Rodarte for Target collection is getting lots of love in magazines, luckily for that or we’ll still be waiting for the official look book images to release to get a peek. On Tuesday, we posted a preview from Elle and Harper’s Bazaar featuring a denim jacket, blue Swiss-dot lace dress, leopard bow belt, black cardigan and a printed dress. Thanks to reader lucy92 for tipping us, we now have more looks from the collection featured in Vogue’s December 2009 issue. These are the best images we’ve seen so far, besides the image of Dakota Fanning wearing the leopard dress. Hopefully there’s better pieces in the range, the collection launches on December 20th.

Do you like what you see so far?
