Vanessa & Angela Simmons Talk Pastry with nitro:licious @ Magic

Note: Sorry about the horrible audio, it got even worst after I’ve uploaded it on YouTube but I try to get it fixed so you guys can hear what they’re saying haha. I’ll update this post when I get a chance to get the audio fixed up a bit. At least you get to see them in action right? hahah

Finally had a chance to upload the video and pictures of Vanessa and Angela Simmons at Magic talking Pastry with nitro:licious. I actually wasn’t expecting to shoot a video, thanks to YM at Freshness for whipping out his digicam and filming my little chat with the brains behind the successful Pastry brand. The Simmons sisters were very down to earth and sweet, they took some time out of their busy schedule to update nitro:licious readers about Pastry and showed off their new collection. Lots of new kicks, handbags and clothing will be released - check out the exclusive sneak peek of their new kicks and handbags. Also check out what Vanessa is rocking, they’re all from the Pastry Clothing collection, cute huh? Stay tuned for more Pastry updates…

Let’s Get Intimate With…Claudia @ Claw Money

Interview with Claudia @ Claw Money
Interviewed by Tom Bradley
Photograhy from Claw Money
Produced by Wendy L.

*I APPRECIATE THE LUV FROM YOUR SITE, BUT PLEASE REFRAIN FROM COPYING THE ENTIRE INTERVIEW/IMAGES TO YOUR SITE. A LINKBACK TO THE INTERVIEW FROM YOUR SITE IS GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS.*

Before I met the lady behind Claw Money I was already admiring her work, I loved how she transforms vintage Chanel (and many other designers) scarves into a one of a kind jacket - no one piece is identical. Then news broke that she will be collaborating with Nike to create a Blazer and a Vandal Hi, props to her. I finally got to meet Claw at the night of the Vandal release party at iHeart, it was quite a funny night. Seemed like she was a bit tipsy and was cracking jokes, I wonder if she even remembered (ha!). Claw is a humourous and talented lady, definitely someone that has great talents!

nitro:licious Feature & Giveaway: Madame Tussauds Wax Museum - NYC

Madame Tussauds - NYC
234 West 42nd Street
between 7th & 8th Aves
New York, NY 10036
800.246.8872

Madame Tussauds Wax Museum has been in the heart of Times Square for quite awhile and I’ve been meaning to go check it out. Last month, I finally had a chance to go and I brought along a few of my gurlz. The wax museum is a must stop for all tourists and if you’re a local you should check it out too, we all had a blast there! I prefer to go with a group of friends, there’s also a one minute “Chamber of Horror” where you get scared the crap out of haha (my friend Pauline can tell you that for sure puahahha). Some of the waxes were really “real” looking, kinda scary - but some weren’t even close! One thing to my surprise was that there weren’t that many waxes there, I thought there were a lot more than what I’ve seen. To kill my curiousity, I asked one of the workers and they said that waxes get shipped to different locations to be shown so therefore there’s different ones from time to time (don’t quote me on that). May be the next time you go you’ll see “someone” that I haven’t seen before. Be sure to look out for NYC’s newest addition, Biggie’s wax - they just added him and he won’t be traveling! Thanks Madame Tussauds / Mark Kwan for the complimentary tickets.

In addition to this feature, I will be giving away four (4) tickets to one (1) lucky winner! Winner will be chosen randomly and announced on this post. All you have to do is leave a comment here following the guidelines (do not email me)…

Giveaway Starts: Thursday, November 15, 2007 - Now
Giveaway Ends: Friday, November 30, 2007 - 11:59pm EST

**WINNER: Ms. Peanut - Entry #1, CONGRATS!**

nitro:licious Feature: Peak Performance

Peak Performance
54 West 21st Street, 8th Floor
New York, Ny 10010

Athleticism. Strength. Confidence. Sexiness. Fitness. Vitality. At Peak Performance, New York City’s premiere private training facility, looking good isn’t just a mindset; it’s a way of life. Nestled in a 10,000 square foot sun-drenched loft high above the streets of Manhattan, Peak Performance takes fitness back to the basics…with forward-thinking motion. The experts at Peak Performance have distilled fitness down to it’s simplest, purest form – reconnecting people to their bodies and educating them about what their bodies are designed to do: run, jump, climb and lift. Inspired by their life-long dedication to athletic excellence, owners and celebrity trainers Joe Dowdell and Jay Wright have designed a unique environment, emphasizing quality over quantity, ensuring the maximum amount of space per client that sport-specific conditioning and athletic training demand. Pioneering the most innovative tools and equipment in the industry, Peak Performance offers clients a truly authentic environment, utilizing unorthodox devices such as prowlers, sleds, kettlebells, Power Plates, Woodway Desmo & Force Treadmills and Olympic weightlifting devices, as well as more traditional circuits.

Last week I was invited to Peak Performance for a comp training session with one of their personal trainers, Jeff Silverman. Being that I haven’t worked out for a hot min (except for one class of Bikram Yoga a few weeks ago), I was in bad shape. I’ve been seeking a gym to join and this was the perfect time to test the waters there, I brought my big Jeannie with me to give me motivation - she will push me. The facility was great and Jeff was a good trainer but I think he worked me a bit too hard (he knew I didn’t work out for a long time). The next day I was in pain, my inner thighs were aching so much that I could barely walk - it took 4 1/2 days to recover (same for Jeannie). Other than that, if I built up my stamina I think the routine is good and the results will show rapidly. I really enjoyed the kettle bell exercise he taught us, I will def go back to take kettle bell classes! Courtesy of Peak Performance / PWC.

After the birth of her precious daughter, Kier, this is Leah’s first interview. Leah has been doing big things and making a big impact in the male dominant streetwear community, not only that she has also collaborated with MCM to create a handbag and got mentioned in Vogue, isn’t that hot? I can’t remember exactly when I met Leah, but I believe it was at a SneakerPimps event where I went up to her and introduced myself, she was warm and polite. I was quite intrigued by her bikini collaboration with KAWS last year, I really liked it and I’m sure everyone did as well. If you missed out on that limited piece, Leah spills that the duo will be releasing yet another bikini real soon! You heard it here first, be on the lookout for upcoming photos. Before you start clicking into the MOB website to try to order a piece, read on and get to know Leah a bit more…
