New York Fashion Week Spring 2010 Day 2
Friday, September 11, 2009

Without my partner in crime to help me take pics during New York Fashion Week was hell, I hate asking strangers to help me take pics. First they don’t know how I like to be photographed, second it’s kinda weird to ask if they can retake the photo if I didn’t like ithaha, but I survived. The second day of NYFW, I finally made it to Bryant Park Tents, this season’s displays were MCM trunks and handbags- so dope! For shows I made it to Charlotte Ronson and Monarchy (posts to come), like the first day, I missed a few shows and after parties. The weather was a dread, killed the mood.

New York Fashion Week Spring 2010 Day 0: HP + Coach
Wednesday, September 9, 2009

I know I know, I’m way behind, I can’t even keep track of what day it is today! Back tracking to day 0 of New York Fashion Week, or shall I say pre-NYFW? Anyway, the day before NYFW there were a ton of events but decided upon only two, went to the HP event for cocktails and to preview the new Vivienne Tam x HP Mini netbook, then headed to Hotel Griffou for dinner with some bloggers and the fab Coach team (thanks Coach). Was kinda bummed I missed the Anna Sui for Target private shopping event at the pop-up shop but I had a great night, so can’t complain.

For NYFW, I have been using the Vivienne Tam x HP Mini 1000 Edition and T-Mobile webConnect USB Laptop Stick (courtesy of T-Mobile) for blogging, checking emails and photo editing on the go. Lugging my MacBook would mean major back and shoulder pain, netbooks are the way to go. The webConnect USB Laptop Stick is a savior because WIFI sucks at Bryant Park Tents and it helps to have internet wherever and whenever. More on this later, I’m about to hit the sack- got an early morning tomorrow!

Outfit: Tracy Feith for Target Leather Biker Jacket, Forever 21 Burnout Tee, Brian Lichtenberg Brianel Graffiti Leggings, Jessica Simpson “Andolo” Pumps (Sample), Coach Textured Metallic Alexa Bag, Chanel Sunglasses, H&M Necklace and A(r)mor “Chilo” Bracelet Cuff + Ring.

Vivienne Tam x HP Mini Butterfly Lovers Digital ClutchVivienne Tam and Me

On September 9th, I had the privilege of previewing the new Vivienne Tam x HP Mini netbook before the public at a special HP preview where Vivienne Tam was there telling us about her inspirations. The new netbook design reflects Tam’s spring 2010 collection, inspired by the classic Chinese love story, “Butterfly Lovers,” a beautiful tale of freedom, romance and inspiration featuring butterflies and a universally loved color of champagne as the background. I am impressed with the new design and truly love it, its hard to come up with a new design that can top the first one that was extremely popular and loved (and sold out!). I think Vivienne and the HP design team did an amazing job, can’t wait for the netbook to drop! Also, HP said the new technology will be more advanced, stay tuned for more details!

This past Saturday, September 12th, Vivienne Tam and HP debuted the next digital clutch on the catwalk of Tam’s fashion show during New York’s Fashion Week at Bryant Park, pictures to come! The HP Vivienne Tam digital clutch is expected to be available in spring 2010.

“I’m excited to partner with HP again on a new design that truly embodies my inspiration for the new spring collection,” said Tam. “When women around the globe carry HP’s digital clutch and wear my clothes, I want them to feel beautiful and confident.”

“With her spring collection, Tam debuts HP’s next tech must-have,” said Satjiv S. Chahil, senior vice president, Worldwide Marketing, Personal Systems Group, HP. “Products as beautiful as those Vivienne makes deserve to be presented in an inspiring, unique retail experience, so we’ve extended our partnership to showcase her line in Vivienne’s Soho boutique.”

What’s your thoughts, do you like the first design featuring peony flowers or this new design featuring butterflies? I love both!

Leica D LUX 4

Surprise surprise, B got me a new camera just because! I’ve been sweating his Leica D-LUX 4 for a hot min already and now I am a proud owner! B used the D-LUX 4 to shoot this image while I was shooting him lol, the images that this camera takes is amazing, incomparable to the previous digital cameras I own. This camera is super sleek and sexy featuring an all black body and is much more sophisticated than the regular point and shoot digital cameras. The image stabilizer on this camera is so good, in low light too, a lot of times I don’t even use flash. Now I don’t have to borrow his, got it just in time for New York Fashion Week!

For those looking for a great camera with amazing quality but is not ready for a SLR, this is my recommendation. It’s a bit pricey but totally worth the price, I absolutely love this camera.

One a side note, I’m loving my A(r)mor Dellah Ear Cuff (thanks Sandee) and Vince Camuto sandals (sample, thanks Carl)! Fab!

JOYCE x Alexander McQueen Skull USB

I’m so jealous right now, my friend from Hong Kong just sent over these images of the JOYCE x Alexander McQueen Skull USB given as a gift to JOYCE customers who spend over HK$10,000 (about US$1,300)! That amount can be easily achieved in that store, JOYCE is equivalent to a Barneys New York in the US. The McQueen Skull USB is only 2gb but who will really use it right? This will look super dope as a necklace too, ahhh I want one!
