My first pair of VANS are these super dope Watermelon Chukka, these are really cute for Spring/Summer, plus watermelon is one of my favorite fruits so it makes it extra special! I love that they finished these off with a green sole, it really makes the shoes pop. These shoes are part of the Watermelon Pack which also includes a Slip-On and Authentic style in the same watermelon print. These Watermelon Chukkas are by far my favorite VANS, do you like them? The Watermelon Pack should be releasing soon, I’ll keep you guys posted when the official release date is. Thanks to VANS for the hotness! I couldn’t wait to try on all the gear, I am so glad the collaboration went through. Last week I received the super dope Rojas Raindrop Jacket in metallic silver that I’ve been eying forever but never got around buying from Moxsie. Didn’t get a chance to wear it till this past Saturday, it was crazy beautiful out- 57 degrees what!! I was out bright and early to take full advantage of the warm weather, after the Reebok event, had an amazing lunch then went shopping in Soho. I am officially over Winter, I’m ready to lose the puffy coats, its time to put on a light jacket and walk around freely. The jacket was super shiny and caught a lot of attention, lots of people were staring and people even asked where it was from- many compliments received. It got a lil chillier at night but since the jacket is fully lined it kept me warm, I’m quite obsessed with this jacket! I’ll be wearing it quite often. Big thanks to Julia at Moxsie! A friend of mine sent me a nice pair of Aldo “Smeal” studded sandals last week, I wanted to wear them out immediately because they’re super sexy but of course the weather doesn’t permit in NYC! These remind me of my studded flat sandals I bought from Hong Kong, these sandals are killer! I love the wide ankle strap and two smaller straps under it, anything studded I seem to be fascinated with at the moment. A gurl can never get enough shoes. I’ll definitely be rockin’ these babies out a lot when the weather gets warmer, I can’t wait till spring/summer! Hotness! UPDATE 03.18.2009: I wore these out to an event yesterday and wore them for a good 3 hours and they are pretty comfy because there is a platform! Love them, got so many compliments for them! The Nike Aerofit seems to be going pretty strong in the women’s market, for summer a Louis Vuitton x Richard Prince inspired pair will be released in an orange colorway featuring red splattered paint on the eyelet with matching red laces and a gradient of colors on the side panel with faded “NIKE” words printed backwards. This bright pair will definitely turn heads and is perfect for summer, love these! Look out for these sometime in April 2009. Thanks to Laurel for the kicks, these are hotness!
