A pretty collection book from one of my favorite accessories brand, Tarina Tarantino, landed in my mailbox last week and I finally got a chance to look through it. Tarina presents her latest collection book; My Pretty starring actresses Debi Mazar as The Wicked Witch of the West and Kelly Osbourne as Glinda, the Good Witch of the North. Other casts includes Holly Owens as Dorothy; Larva X as The Scarecrow, The Tin Man, The Cowardly Lion, and The Winged Monkey; Theodore “TT” Melendez as Toto; and of course Tarina Tarantino as Wizard DJ. Inspired by the Wizard of Oz, the collection book for 2009 takes you on a fantastical journey through downtown Los Angeles. My Pretty features the latest from the Wizard of Oz by Tarina Tarantino collection as well as new collections for Fall 2009 and Spring 2010. Pretty and full of fantasy indeed, love the photo shoot and accessories, they’re to die for especially Kelly Osbourne’s look!

The Wizard of Oz by Tarina Tarantino collections and other collections featured in the My Pretty catalog including Clockwork Punk, Dollars and Sense and White Widow will be available in stores starting in August 2009 and the My Pretty book is available starting July 1st for $8.

Back in May, you’ve got a sneak peek of my friend Sandee Shin’s A(r)mor jewelry collection, the look book is now available featuring all the pieces she created for her debut collection. I’m quite obsessed with body chain jewelry, its so edgy and makes a simple outfit look extra chic and more interesting. Love the chains and draping of the jewelry, and lately I’ve been just a plain t-shirt girl so these will definitely spice up my outfits. Loving the photo shoot, sexy! According to WWD, Beyoncé and her momager/stylist Tina Knowles is slated to launch a new junior apparel label, Sasha Fierce for Deréon, for back-to-school selling, named after Beyoncé’s alter ego and third solo album, “I Am…Sasha Fierce”. The collection consists of a full range of sportswear, outerwear, handbags, footwear, eyewear, lingerie and jewelry, the “over the top” jewelry, shoes and eyewear feature “large chains made in mixed metals such as silver with gold, heavily studded shoes and oversize sunglasses such as the ones Beyoncé has been seen wearing on tour.” You can expect apparel like “a one-shoulder dress, black bodysuit, fake leather jacket with oversize collar, leggings and destructed jeans with mesh and lace details lining the ripped material.” Come September, the collection will be available at retailers like Macy’s, Dillard’s and specialty stores Jimmy Jazz and Against All Odds.

The collection, Tina said, is “edgier and trendier and reflects Sasha Fierce’s daring and outgoing attitude. Beyoncé, who said in a statement “the line really exudes a different side of my personality, which I am grateful that I can express,” had a lot of say in the creation of the collection, Tina said.

I may need to thank Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl for introducing me to Jennifer Behr as she wears her over-the-top headbands in the show. I’m all for unique and big accessories, but for Fall 2009 it seems like the house of Jennifer Behr has put away the flowers and girly side of the brand and opted for a dark collection of headgear inspired by Victorian jet jewelry.
