Oliver Peoples Spring 2010 Collection

Oliver Peoples Eyewear has reunited with acclaimed photographer and director Autumn de Wilde and tapped actor Elijah Wood and lead vocalist of Garbage, Shirley Manson for their spring 2010 ad campaign. The designer eyewear house has an established reputation for producing spirited short films that, combined with still photographs, bring life to the collection each season. The Oliver Peoples spring 2010 campaign will debut in November. This spring, key styles in the collection include Rees, Josselyn, Altman, Barrie, Sacha and Sheldrake which is my personal favorite. Can’t wait till the collection drops in February 2010!

“I was eager to be involved in a project that had so many dimensions,” said Wood. “As someone who wears and appreciates great eyewear, I couldn’t ask for a better brand to align with. And, working with Autumn, you know exactly what you are signing up for – a creative journey with a goldmine at the end.”

“I was incredibly pleased with the result of last year’s campaign and thrilled to be able to work alongside Autumn again and this year’s amazing team of talents,” said Michelle Walnum, Oliver Peoples Senior Director of Marketing and Brand Image. “The synergy of the collective, being that everyone comes from such different worlds, was extraordinary, and the result will illustrate my belief that the best things often come out of those that are most unexpected.”

On Friday we posted the Mulberry x Apple Bayswater Laptop Bag, here’s a preview of the full collection. The 9-piece collection includes MacBook & MacBook Pro bags and sleeves and mini cross-bags for
iPhone or iPod Touch. These accessories for men and women retain the coveted exteriors of Mulberry icons like the Bayswater for women and the Brynmore for men but the insides have been enhanced with features like padding, pockets and headphone access. The collection includes bags in Mulberry’s natural leathers as well as MacBook & MacBook Pro sleeves and small bags in the season’s colors or a bold smudged leopard print. Prices range from $250 – $1195. The accessories will be available on apple.com on November 1st and mulberry.com on December 1st.

Deciding to develop the collection was a no-brainer for Mac user Emma Hill, Mulberry’s Creative Director she said, “Mulberry have a legacy of craftsmanship and I’m thrilled to launch our first luxury collection for a whole host of Apple products including the MacBook, iPhone and iPod”

I kinda want a Bayswater Laptop Bag, perfect for traveling. Would you splurge $550 to $1195 for one? What’s your thoughts? Hmm…

PPQ x adidas Originals
Photography: Rankin/adidas

Another reason to rock more adidas, first it was Stella McCartney, then onto Jeremy Scott and now they’ve tapped London ready-to-wear label PPQ to release a sportswear collection for fall/winter 2009. Amy Molyneaux, PPQ co-founder, says they referenced Mohammad Ali’s original boxing boots and key items such as stirrup pants that most girls seem to want for it’s practical style. They are not scared of simple classics, and this is what they have offered in this collection. The photo shoot and line looks dope, I love black and white! Looking forward to the release, def going to pick up a few pieces.
