This season over-the-knee boots are a must have, if you haven’t gotten a pair cop it quick. Fall has arrived and it’s getting chilly out in NYC, today was the perfect weather to be rockin’ these new Jeffrey Campbell Carry over-the-knee boots, courtesy of Solestruck.com. Although these boots are faux leather it doesn’t look cheap at all. I love over-the-knee boots, it keeps you warm and are super sexy at the same time. These boots feature an all over criss-cross belt bandage wrap which reminds me of the Rodarte over-the-knee boots. But I must warn you if you have wide feet and thick calves, these boots are not for you because they’re pretty tight on both of those areas. It also required a tad bit of work to zip these babies up since there’s so many elastic straps the zipper is hard to pull up but after you get them up they’re pretty comfy. If you must have these boots, I suggest to go up a size. I have normal width feet so I got my actual size and didn’t have a problems getting into them. These are selling out fast but they’re currently available at Solestruck.com for $184.95. More pics after the jump…
This past Tuesday I attended the 16th Annual QVC Presents “FFANY Shoes on Sale” cocktail event where Jessica Simpson, Real Housewives of NYC’s Kelly Bensimon, Royal Pain’s Reshma Shetty, Ugly Betty’s Mark Indelicato, Howard Stern’s wife and model Beth Ostrosky, designer Isaac Mizrahi and more came out for some shoe shopping. QVC and the Fashion Footwear Association of New York (FFANY) joined forces for a charitable shoe sale to benefit breast cancer research and education. The sale (which went live on QVC), in honor of breast cancer awareness month offered shoes at half the manufacturer’s suggested retail price. In addition to the October 13th scheduled broadcast, shoppers may contribute to the cause by purchasing the “Shoe of the Day,” offered each weekday throughout the month of October on QVC from 7 AM to 9 AM (EST). A special collection of shoes will also be available online, at QVC.com throughout the month. In addition, Jessica Simpson, the 2009 QVC Presents “FFANY Shoes on Sale” PSA Spokesperson, is unveiling her collection of shoes, accessories and handbags on QVC on October 19th, so be sure to check up on that. In case you were curious, un Tuesday night, Jessica wore a Dolce and Gabbana dress paired with her own Jessica Simpson shoes. Check out the event pictures after the jump…
Last month when Steve Madden put up the Seryna Ankle Booties for pre-order on their site, I got a lil excited since I really wanted the Alexander McQueen Pelle Leather Sandals but didn’t want to drop a $1000 on them. A couple weeks ago a package arrived at my doorsteps, courtesy of Steve Madden, which def made my day, it was the Seryna Ankle Booties! Put the booties on immediately, these are really a good copy of the original boots but cost a fraction of the price ($129.95). But if you didn’t pre-order these babies and received them already, they’re no longer on the site. Loving the “motorcycle jacket” look on the feet, will def be out and about in these sexy booties. Ever since I saw my friend Geri rock these Bebe Tyra Croc Ankle Bootie during NYFW, I knew I had to have them. Thanks to Bebe for sending a pair over, these booties are a must have. I’ve been wearing them 3 days straight this past weekend, they’re amazing. I’ve been getting lots of compliments and people asking about these on the streets, these towering booties are 6″ with a 1.5″ platform, but don’t let that scare you because it is extremely comfortable, no joke. The croc stamped leather detailing makes the booties look expensive but they’re at an affordable price of $189 and they’re my quick fix to the YSL ankle booties that I secretly wanted badly. I’m obsessed with these, so you’ll be seeing me rockin’ these a lot. More pics after the jump…
Super behind, but here’s the recap for day 2 in Vancouver, BC for the Nike Women’s Training Spring 2010 Media Summit. Woke up super early for presentations, learned about some of Nike’s key training products for Spring 2010 and saw their latest Nike Zoom Fly Sisters collection, got to meet 8 fab athletes and learned about their training routines and they also demonstrated some of their daily training routines- tough. Athletes that were in attendance: Snowboard – Ellery Hollingsworth, Hockey – Angela Ruggiero, Skeleton – Katie Uhlaender, Curling – Nicole Joraanstad, Speed Skating – Katherine Reutter, Alpine Ski Racing – Julia Mancuso and Ice Skating – medal contenders Keauna McLaughlin and Rockne Brubaker. One of my favorite winter Olympic game is ice skating, Keauna McLaughlin and Rockne Brubaker showed us a little bit of their long routine, they skated to the Slumdog Millionaire theme song. Can’t wait to see more! After a long day of presentations, we headed to Yaletown for dinner at Goldfish. The food was decent, but not as good as the Chinese food in NYC. Nike provided a lot of food, it was nuts, had to sleep right after…food coma! More pics after the jump… |
