Outfit 07.17.2008 ~ Mamma Mia!

p1030500.jpg

It was such a nice day yesterday I couldn’t stay in the office for lunch so I met up with B to grab a bite. As we were walking I’ve gotten so many comments about my Darkhorse “EAT MY PUCCI” tee I’ve lost count haha, I kinda expected it when I put it on in the morning but didn’t know it was that crazy. The best comment was, “What does your shirt say, EAT MY WHAT? PUCCI? I’m a professional PUCCI EATER!” OMG that was the funniest line I’ve heard in a long time, we were both cracking up the whole time, just thinking back cracks me up. Of course I told all my friends later and they all died too haha! I LUV THIS TEE, Andrew I suggest your next tee to say, “PROFESSIONAL PUCCI EATER” haha!

After work I met up with my buddy Mark and Aileen to watch the screening of Mamma Mia! (courtesy of Mark), the film version of the smash Broadway musical. When Aileen got there she messaged me and told me there was long line, I didn’t expect it to be too crazy. When I got there it was nuts, I didn’t think Mamma Mia! was that popular- lucky I never have to wait especially since I wasn’t too crazy about watching the movie in the first place but Aileen wanted to. The movie was surprisingly really good, it definitely pleased the crowd- a lot of people were clapping, singing and laughing. Meryl Streep plays Donna Sheridan, she’s very vibrant, young and energetic in the movie, an opposite of her role in The Devil Wears Prada (which I loved as well), she’s simply amazing! The musical was great very upbeat and posed an energetic vibe, the characters were charasmatic and funny. If you’re looking for something aside from the superhero, comic-book movies then this is movie will put a grin on your face. The movie is in theaters now!

Xbox Exclusive Sneak Peek Holiday Showcase - June 16

p1030487.jpg
Minya and Me, just so happens we match haha!

After watching Tropic Thunder I headed down to the Xbox Exclusive Sneak Peek Holiday Showcase which was not too far from the theater. Chilled and played some new Xbox games with YM and Poe (Freshness), Minya (Miss Info) and Cipha Sounds. Minya and Cipha were hilarious when they were playing LIPS, it’s a karaoke game on the next level. It’s basically a karaoke system where you can plug your iPod to the Xbox and sing whatever songs you have on there or sing along to the original music videos of the songs that are installed in the system and the best part is the mic is wireless so you can go all out. I know this is going to be a bit hit especially in the Asian community, karaoke is big for us haha! I suggested to the developer that there should be an option where you download Chinese music videos to the Xbox and have the original music video to sing along with as well, he said he’s going to look into it. If he gets that to work I think its time for all the karaokes to upgrade to the Xbox and trash their old systems! I await for this game to release!

Another game we really enjoyed is Rock Band 2, it was my first time playing the game that night. I chose the drums, YM played the bass and Minya played the guitar. Minya warned that the drums were the hardest but I still went for it, after mins of laughing my a$$ off because I suck like no tomorrow I gave up my seat to the pro, Just Blaze. He is seriously on another level, super good! I filmed a lil “Making The Band” video featuring Minya, YM and Just Blaze- perhaps they should form a band together haha! Overall it was a fun night, I loved the Xbox theme, everything was green- the lights, displays and even the candy! Xbox should definitely host more of these events, fun times!

Outfit 07.16.2008 ~ Tropic Thunder

p1030468.jpg

Met up with my friend Helen from Redpanda Village for lunch yesterday to catch up and brought my dog Cookie to the vet also. When I walk my dogs or bring them out to the vet, I never like to bring too much stuff and also I always need to bring a shoulder bag or tote. The reason is my dog Cookie is like a wild horse, he pulls me so I’ll need as little things as possible haha. My arm is still aching haha!

Afterwards met up with B to watch the Tropic Thunder screening, courtesy of my buddy Mark Kwan, that’s right the movie is not in theaters till August 13th! I’ve been dying to see this movie ever since I’ve seen the posters awhile back, just seeing Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr. and Jack Black was enough to get me to watch it, I don’t even need to know what’s it about. I got even more hyped after watching the skit they did on the MTV Movie Awards 2008, it was hilarious! But when I found out more about the movie, that my *crush* Robert Downey Jr. went through plastic surgery to change his features and pigmented his skin to appear black (in the movie for the movie) you know it’s gonna be funny haha. I’m not going to say too much but this movie is AMAZING, super duper funny and full of surprises, the whole theater couldn’t keep quiet haha- I normally never watch a movie twice at the theaters but this one I definitely can! It’s mamamammaaaaaaad funny, hahaha! MUST WATCH!!!

Tretorn Soho New York Opening Party - June 15, 2008

I’ve been going out to events every night these past few days so bear with me as I am a little behind schedule. On Tuesday, July 15th Tretorn invited me to their official Soho New York Store opening party which was held in the open space “garden” two stores from their shop. The event was catered by Spanky’s BBQ, there were food, drinks, desserts and music to welcome guests, a dope outdoor party. I really liked what they did, something different from the usual “closed” space, I wouldn’t mind having a birthday party like this myself! Cute! If you haven’t checked out Tretorn you should, I’m diggin’ their new shoes: T-56 Mid Patent W, Plask W and Skerry.

Last night was the celebration of NaS‘ album release party at ALIFE as part of its Courtyard Concert Session. The courtyard was jammed packed with over 300+ heads including Fabolous, DJ Green Lantern provided the music and a lil too much sweat and smoke. Everyone was having a good time sipping Belvedere and listening to NaS, although he openly admitted to forgetting his own lyrics (haha) everyone including me was still feelin’ him. Guests were gifted with the ALIFE x Nas - NYC Exclusive T-Shirt & Lighter Pack, dope dope tee. I shot some nice videos, so look out for those soon! It was good times, I def enjoyed my night! Outfit 07.13.2008 ~ Beautiful Day

p1030283.jpg

The weather was super nice yesterday, I almost wanted to hit the beach but didn’t end up going because I had run some errands. Did any of you guys hit the beach yet? I’m so looking forward to it…

Took a few random shots around the city, did a lot of walking so didn’t rock heels with my wide leg jeans like I intended to. But I kinda liked how my jeans looked with my flat sandals and I was super comfortable that’s what matters most!

Outfit 07.12.2008 ~ Sex and the City: The Movie

p1030255.jpg

Met up with Ada to watch Sex and the City: The Movie (finally!) today, the movie was ok perhaps I expected more. I liked the Vogue bridal photo shoot scene, the wedding gowns were gorgeous and Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) looked so confident she shined! Another scene I really liked was when Carrie hopped on the train to surprise Miranda at her Chinatown apt rockin’ her pjs, a mink paired with hot ankle boots, that was so sweet! Oh yea SJP has such an nice body!!

I usually like to watch girlie flicks with my girlfriends, its much more fun! I had fun spending quality time with my gurl Ada today, did you guys watch the movie yet?
