Jill Stuart “Teresa” / Pour La Victoire “Sybil”

Just checked Gilt.com and there are some great sales going on today, Jill Stuart, Pour La Victoire, AKA, Marc by Marc Jacobs Men’s, Bedat & Co, Dunhill Accessories and more. Some end today and some end tomorrow, December 12th so check quick to see if there’s anything you like before it sells out. The Pour La Victoire “Sybil” pair looks like the Givenchy sandals, but for $128 it doesn’t really matter. I just got a pair of black Jill Stuart “Teresa” Over-the-knee boots ($298) since I have some credit on my account, they’re pretty nice. Lots of other cute shoes on sale too.

If you need an invite, drop me a comment or click on this personal invitation link to register to become a member to take advantage of the sale! Happy shopping!

Rihanna was looking fierce as usual at the 2008 AMA’s rockin’ an all black S&M ensemble, she never fails wow us. What really caught my eyes were her leather over-the-knee boots, they’re amazing! Can someone please ID the boots? I know its going to some designer brand that’s going to cost an arm and a leg but I’m still dying to know, thanks!

Australia Love Collective Winter ‘08 Collection

Party Nomad $395

To keep warm and cozy this Winter, I’m opting for some Australian sheepskin boots on my feet! To be honest I’m not a huge fan of the regular plain pull-on sheepskin boots, if I was to wear any it would have to be more fashion forward. Australia Love Collective has a cute range of sheepskin boots that are far from plain, remember circa 2005 when Sienna Miller created a buzz when she wore a pair of the Nomad Boots? For their Winter collection, they’ve added new styles and they’re looking pretty cute! The Party Nomad, Vixen and Tibetan Gypsy are my favorites!

Select styles are available online at Piperlime.com and Endless.com, for full stockists check here. Check out some of my picks below, which is your favorite pair(s)?

Vince Camuto Spring & Interim 2009 Collections Preview

Interim 2009

Last month I went to Vince Camuto’s showroom to check out the Spring and Interim 2009 collections, the shoes that I previewed were looking really nice and edgy- a change from his previous style. Although the Interim collection is partially inspired by Nicolas Kirkwood’s silhouettes (which I really love), I’m really happy to see the new designs mixed with designer inspirations at affordable prices. I’m a shoe whore and if I were to spend a whole lot on one pair of shoes all the time I wouldn’t be able to own a lot of pairs, so I’m happy to see this collection and anticipate the release.

The Spring 2009 Collection will be available starting February/March 2009 and the Interim 2009 Collection will be in stores and online starting April 2009.

What do you think of the collection? Any pairs in particular you must have?

My New Melissa Shoes!

img_0408.jpg

Big thanks to my gurl EVA for helping me get these fabulous Melissa shoes at their sample sale last Friday! I had no clue about their sample sale until Eva called me and said she was there. Luckily she was able to pick up whatever I wanted! I’ve always wanted to buy the Vinyl Wedges but by the time I decided to get them my size were sold out at Tobi.com! So glad I was able to get them at discounted prices this time, I got four pairs: the Vivienne Westwood Anglomania Mary Jane in navy blue ($75), two pairs of the Vinyl Wedges ($40 each) in black and red, and the Hello Mary Janes in black/silver ($25). I can’t wait to rock ‘em out! Just fyi, I’m normally a US6 but I had to go down to a US5 (36) in these- they run a lil big.

I was a bit sad that they didn’t have the new Vivienne Westwood Lady Dragon pair, Eva asked and they said they will be have it the next time they have a sample sale (I’ll keep you guys posted when I find out). I want all the colors, its so cute!!

Last week you’ve got a closer look Sofia Coppola’s SC Bag that she designed for Louis Vuitton, today WWD has more pictures from the collection which debuted in Tokyo with a party on Friday night at the Château Restaurant Joël Robuchon. The collection consists of slouchy duffle bags, discreet clutches and retro wedge sandals which will hit select Louis Vuitton stores in March 2009.

The SC Bag, comes in four versions: one in dark gray suede, two in navy blue or burgundy calf leather and one in LV’s signature monogram canvas. For the evening there are four compact clutches with buckles resembling the locks on Vuitton’s classic trunks and peep-toe wedge sandal that channeled the 70s.

ALDO Exclusive Shopping Event at New Soho Location

Me and Colleen (ALDO)

This past Thursday (Dec 4th) night ALDO held an exclusive shopping event and tour of their new Soho location at 470 Broadway. I was anticipating the event for the whole week and when I arrived at the store I was even more giddy, what girl doesn’t love shoes right? The ALDO team were extremely friendly and helpful, they showed me around the store. Colleen the buyer from the corporate office, who happens to be an avid reader of nitro:licious, was on hand to help me choose my shoes since I can get quite indecisive with all the distractions (nice shoes). I came with a pair of shoes in mind, the FROLING which Colleen and Anny were wearing but they didn’t have my size, that was the downside but I did leave with two pairs of great shoes, the MCDIVITT and a new pair of shoes from their spring ‘09 collection (will find out the name), courtesy of ALDO. Thanks very much to ALDO and their team, this was def the highlight of my night!
