Pop-up stores are popping up everywhere this holiday, Reebok just announced theirs…

Who: The same iconic footwear brand that brought back The Pump and made the 80’s cool again, will be opening its first pop up store on November 15th in New York City. Every week the store is open a new, never been seen, limited edition Reebok sneaker will be released and sold for that week only. Throughout the month you can buy Reebok apparel and footwear specially selected for the pop up store.

Forever 21 To Open in Times Square

It’s about time Forever 21 expands (opening more stores, we def don’t have enough) in the East Coast, according to WWD the retailer “will open a 100,000-square-foot store at 1540 Broadway in Times Square in a location previously occupied by Tower Records.” I can’t wait, most of the LA Forever 21 stores are huge!

DDC LAB Store Opening Party

Last Thursday, November 6th was the DDC LAB store opening party at Mercer Street. The party started at 7pm and when I got there around 7:45pm it was at capacity already. Luckily, I knew the door people (thanks Sarah)- getting through and entering the party was not any better. The place was super packed, to a point where you weren’t able walk or check out anything. There was barely any room to breathe, so I wasn’t able to walk around and check out the space and goods. It was a really crazy, my whole back was soaked in just 10 mins as with everyone else in there. But the DDC LAB employees were all rockin’ some ill reflective gear from dresses to jackets to caps to fans marked with “NO PAPARAZZI” across it- super hotness. My favorite is definitely the New Balance 420 x DDCLAB - The Reflective 420, so crazy! It was one of those times where I couldn’t stay long and take pics, even with the jacket off it was wayyyy too hot and crowded in there…

COMME des GARÇONS for H&M - Japan Release

This past Saturday, November 8th was the launch of the COMME des GARÇONS for H&M at the grand opening at Japan’s Harajuku location before all other stores worldwide. H&M Harajuku has approximately 1500㎡ of sales space, spreading over four floors from basement to 3rd floor, displaying women’s, men’s and accessories concepts aimed for the trend-conscious Harajuku clientele. Need I say more? Check out the video and pictures of the opening, “the first customers started to line up Wednesday afternoon, three days ago, and have patiently been waiting for the opening.” The Ginza store in Japan and all other stores worldwide will release the long awaited COMME des GARÇONS for H&M collection on Thursday, November 13th!!!!!!

Louis Vuitton on 5th Gets ‘Wrapped’ Up in Murakami

This holiday season Louis Vuitton’s flagship store is getting ‘wrapped up’ in vinyl display of Murakami’s iconic Monogram Multicolore print. According to WWD, the installation will begin going up today and will be completed on Sunday. This will be the only store with the vinyl display, which is signed by Murakami. “In late September, the company opened a “Bag Bar” on the flagship’s mezzanine level, replete with bar stools as well as an installation of moving display fixtures to highlight different handbag styles. While the company has the bar concept in other locations, the New York version, designed by Peter Marino and Advanced Animations, is the only one with moving parts.”
