H&M Luv #106 - 04.05.2008

H&M - Central

During the last few days of my stay in Hong Kong, I went to H&M at Central to kill sometime before dinner (my second time there). The Central store is HUGE and was packed with tons of people, well may be because it was a Saturday. Tons of tourists and locals swamp the store, I didn’t buy anything that day but I did find a lot of cute stuff and is planning to cop a few back in NYC. Lots of floral pieces and a wall full of gladiator sandals in various colors, seems like its not so popular in Hong Kong. There was a pair of fringe sandals that I thought was kinda cute but the line to pay was crazy and my friend has already arrived so I gave it up. Hopefully I’ll see it in NYC, if not its not a big deal since I wasn’t too crazy about it. I only took pics of the accessories and shoes since there’s not much new clothes since the last time I’ve posted about the Langham Place store.

*I did buy a few pieces from H&M in Hong Kong but never had a chance to post it yet, will do soon!*

Fendi 10+ Party in Hong Kong

img_6604.jpg
April 2, 2008 - Fendi 10+ Party in Hong Kong

The second event that I attended last night was the Fendi 10+ Party at Gallery By The Harbour. The event is to pay tribute to the iconic Fendi Baguette Bag. The Baguette Bag marks its 10th anniversary with a collection of 10 bags in 10 pure colors designed by Silvia Fendi to celebrate the importance of colors.

The party was bumpin’ with DJ Becareful Lee (Sam Lee) spinning, many local celebrities, models, fashionistas, socialites and friends came through. The party was full of color and life, not only were you able to mingle with your friends there were also colorful cookies , star shaped jellos and “Fendi” ice cream to satisfy your sweet tooth! Besides munching, you can release your inner creativity by spray painting on the walls - it was dope! This is definitely one of the best parties I’ve been to in awhile, very creative also - there’s just so much to do there you won’t get bored. Bigups to Trish and Real!

If you’re in Hong Kong you should def check out the Fendi 10+ exhibition at Gallery By The Harbour, it starts April 3rd through April 27th.

Gaile (model) & Me @ Prada, Hong Kong - April 2, 2008

Just came home not too long ago from two events, the first was the Prada “Trembled Blossoms” Premiere Party and new Prada Elements store opening (check back tomorrow for the second event). Celebs, models, fashion icons and socialites came out last night for a private party at the Prada store at Elements. The event was an unveiling of the Prada’s first animated short film, Trembled Blossoms that captures the essence of Prada’s Spring/Summer 2008 Collection. If you haven’t seen the video, you should it’s quite beautiful and interesting. Bigups to Trish and Francis.

HOODS Hong Kong Opening Event

img_6398.jpg
Edith & Me

Earlier this week on Monday, March 31st I hit up the HOODS Opening Event as Neighborhood and WTaps celebrate the opening of their Hong Kong store at Western Market. Lance said that the venue is one of the few places in HK that is actually a good venue for concerts (indeed it was), there was also a live performance by Jackie & The Cedrics. It was super crowded that night (but fun) with streetwear heads, celebs, models and socialites. I didn’t take that many photos that night so if you’re feelin’ for some more - check Freshness. Bigups to Lance!

Check out the store if you’re in Hong Kong…

img_5976.jpg
March 28, 2008 - Hong Kong, Waiting for the bus…

This may be the shortest post of my travel entries haha, didn’t snap up that many pics that day. After lunch with B, we headed to visit my friend Tricia at her dad’s place. She prepared some barbecue for dinner and we all just chilled and watched Jay Chou’s concert haha. It is fun times just hanging out and chit chatting with people you like, ain’t need to be out and about all the time to have fun.

Hong Kong Trip Day #24 - 03.27.2008

img_5942.jpg
March 27, 2008 - Hong Kong, 8Five2 Shop @ Causeway Bay (dead beat by the time I got there, the humidity has got to me!)

Met up with the boys (YM, Masa and Shawn) to do a bit of visitation of the big guns in Hong Kong, Chris & Linton @ GarageWorks and Brian @ 8Five2 Shop. The GarageWorks office at Chai Wan is pretty dope, once you enter there’s racks and racks of toys - dope toys! After the tour of the toy house, we headed back to Causeway Bay to hit up Brian’s shop - Brian is one of the funniest people I’ve met in HK. “Sea Urchin…UGHHHH!” inside joke hahah, omg he is mad funny and he must be watching too much of The Wire haha. 8Five2 Shop is a dope spot, check out the store. Then we the four of us headed down to Mongkok to look for some DVDs, afterwards headed over to Langham place to find a spot to eat dinner. Since Ajisen Ramen has been haunting me (I see that restaurant everywhere), I’ve made the decision for everyone to eat there. The ramen was pretty good, then off to home - I was mad beat that day b/c it was super humid!!!

Hong Kong Trip Day #23 - 03.26.2008

img_5862.jpg
March 26, 2008 - Hong Kong, Jardin House

A few days ago, went to Central to run a few errands for my parents then met up with B’s friend Masa to shop around Causeway Bay. I pretty much know my way around Hong Kong, with a few exceptions of some local shopping places. After shopping around and copping 3 pairs of shoes (yes again, didn’t get a chance to snap pictures yet) we met up with Masa’s gf, Edith, my new friend :) - we all was feeling for some Korean BBQ so Edith brought us to Sorabol Korean Restaurant @ Lee Theatre Plaza. The food was really good, after dinner we went to have dessert at Lucky Dessert - that basically concluded my day.
