March 26, 2008 - Hong Kong, Jardin House

A few days ago, went to Central to run a few errands for my parents then met up with B’s friend Masa to shop around Causeway Bay. I pretty much know my way around Hong Kong, with a few exceptions of some local shopping places. After shopping around and copping 3 pairs of shoes (yes again, didn’t get a chance to snap pictures yet) we met up with Masa’s gf, Edith, my new friend :) - we all was feeling for some Korean BBQ so Edith brought us to Sorabol Korean Restaurant @ Lee Theatre Plaza. The food was really good, after dinner we went to have dessert at Lucky Dessert - that basically concluded my day.

March 24, 2008 - Hong Kong, Central

Finally made my way through to Central, it’s where all the name brand stuff is located. I tend not to shop there that much as I can get all those brands in NYC. Checked out a few shops and chilled around for a bit, then off to Causeway Bay again for dinner - to be exact back to city’super!

P.S. I didn’t pack so much, so I’m running out of clothes to wear - YIKES! You’ll be seeing similar outfits soon haha!

March 23, 2008 - Hong Kong

On my 20th day in Hong Kong, B and I met up with Melody to shop (again) and eat. She took us to a few places to try some new food and to chill out, lots of food in this post (don’t get hungry!). Didn’t buy much that day and didn’t get a chance to snap up what I bought but you’ll soon be able to see it when I rock it out. Passed by McDonald’s and spotted the Red Bean Pie (US version of the Apple Pie), damn I had to have one - that ish was MAD GOOD!!! Unlike the Apple Pie that’s baked in the US, they fry the skin! Drooling, I’m going to eat some more of these before I leave HK! I’m going to cut it short and let the pics speak for itself…

March 22, 2008 - Hong Kong Shopping Mall

It was raining cats and dogs this past Saturday so I decided to go to chill with a friend and met her at a mall near her and to stay in there to keep dry. Ate lunch at Yummy, a Japanese restaurant, the food was pretty good there. Then on to shopping for my babies, bought them a ton of Japanese snacks which I can’t get in NYC - I always get them a ton of ish when I’m in HK! Yup, I spoil them like crazy! Another cute thing to do in HK is to “turn eggs (capsules)”, you choose which kind of “eggs/capsules” you like, pay, turn and you get a a mystery toy inside the “egg/capsule”! B and I got quite a few, check out the pics after the jump…

March 21, 2008 - Hong Kong, Temple Street

Just a quick update before I hit the sack, its 2:45am Hong Kong time I’m beat (again haha). Sorry guys I have way too much pictures and so lil time to edit the photos so I’m going to have to cut it short and just post a few pics. Did some more shoe shopping and bought two pairs of new shoes and some clothes (didn’t get a chance to shoot them yet). There’s endless shoe stores in HK, its overwhelming but I love it! I’ll prolly end up checking in a whole suitcase of shoes by the end of my trip haha, I think I have bought over 10 pairs of shoes already - I have yet to count them!

Check out what I bought after the jump…

March 17, 2008 - Hong Kong, my friend Eva’s crib

Skipped 4 days of my trip because I went to China to visit my grandparents, nothing too interesting happened there - was there to visit them since I haven’t seen them for years! Didn’t do much yesterday, actually stayed in for the majority of the day to catch up on some work, email and sleep. Went out for lunch at Cafe De Coral and Shanghai Po Po for dinner again (will post this in separate entry) and that was about it. That is also why I was able to rock my Sam Edelman Ankle Bootie that I’ve gotten for a long time but never worn. The booties are quite hard to walk in, so I had to choose a time where I won’t be doing much walking haha, I felt tall for once. I actually really like them, do you guys love it or hate it?

My bangs are getting a bit long now, soon I will keep it side swept like my usual.

Hong Kong Trip Day #12 - 03.15.2008

March 15, 2008 - Hong Kong, Jardine House - Central

Note: It’s 2:30am in the morning local HK time and I’m 1/2 asleep so this will be a short post, it will be continued tomorrow when I get up.

Met up with Melody and her husband on the 12th day in Hong Kong, she took me to Kwai Fong. We had lunch at E.C. Eatery there which was pretty good (pics will be posted soon) and then off to shop. I’ve never been there before and the malls there are huge and just what I like. Local shops filled with cutesy clothing and shoes, I don’t buy designer goods in HK - I can get those in NYC so I like to shop little local shops. I bought a few things there, def a spot I will hit up again when I visit HK.

Afterwards, went to my first event since I’ve arrived to Hong Kong - Nike HK’s The Power of One Event. Saw a few familiar faces and chit chatted for a bit then off to dinner at one of my favorite spots in HK, Tsui Wah Restaurant at Lan Kwai Fong (pics will be posted soon) - the food is so good there! I’ll add more pics to this post tomorrow so stay tuned!
