First off Happy July 4th everyone, what’s your plans today? BBQs…I guess haha? I’ll be going to two today! But before I go out, here’s a lil post….

In case some of you guys are just chillaxin’ at home, here’s a lil something to do. I don’t know about you but I’ve been obsessing over the Christopher Kane Spring 2009 Gorilla Dresses/Tees for a min but they’re way out of my budget to even think about it, plus the dresses are basically sold out even at a hefty price. Anyway, although Rihanna and Julia Restoin-Roitfeld isn’t wearing the exact print, it’s almost the same dress. Rihanna wears the Christopher Kane Gorilla Print Dress with Miu Miu Sandals and a gold necklace while Julia wears the Christopher Kane Baboon Print Dress with a black blazer, black tights, black shoes and a black Chanel bag- who do you think wore it best? I’d have to go with Rihanna, the dress is interesting enough to go alone, loves it!

The dresses are sold out but the unisex tees in Chimp, Baboon and Mandrill prints are still available at Luisaviaroma.com for about US$351, do you dig it? Or perhaps you can get a similar gorilla tee via eBay, I might consider that haha.

A pretty collection book from one of my favorite accessories brand, Tarina Tarantino, landed in my mailbox last week and I finally got a chance to look through it. Tarina presents her latest collection book; My Pretty starring actresses Debi Mazar as The Wicked Witch of the West and Kelly Osbourne as Glinda, the Good Witch of the North. Other casts includes Holly Owens as Dorothy; Larva X as The Scarecrow, The Tin Man, The Cowardly Lion, and The Winged Monkey; Theodore “TT” Melendez as Toto; and of course Tarina Tarantino as Wizard DJ. Inspired by the Wizard of Oz, the collection book for 2009 takes you on a fantastical journey through downtown Los Angeles. My Pretty features the latest from the Wizard of Oz by Tarina Tarantino collection as well as new collections for Fall 2009 and Spring 2010. Pretty and full of fantasy indeed, love the photo shoot and accessories, they’re to die for especially Kelly Osbourne’s look!

The Wizard of Oz by Tarina Tarantino collections and other collections featured in the My Pretty catalog including Clockwork Punk, Dollars and Sense and White Widow will be available in stores starting in August 2009 and the My Pretty book is available starting July 1st for $8.

Previously you’ve seen Victoria’s solo act for Spring/Summer 2009, the latest photos were taken by photography duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and will appear in magazines and billboard nationwide starting this month. Don’t we all want to be that close to David Beckham, hot!

Coco Before Chanel Movie - English Trailer

Back in March, you first previewed the French version of the Coco Avant Chanel trailer, an extended English version with subtitles of the trailer is out. In the trailer, you’ll see Coco has love affairs with two men and she likes dresses without corsets and hats without feathers. Very interesting, I’m def going to check this movie out. We all knew it was for the handbag campaign but little did we know it was for a new Chanel handbag line, Chanel Coco Cocoon which is slated to launch in October 2009. Damn I’m mad I came across these Jeffrey Campbell Potion Ankle Boots so late on Shopbop.com, all the sizes are sold out but if you’re a size 7 you’re in luck. These remind me of the Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony Buckle Boots that I’ve been lusting for but for a fraction of the price ($165), I so wish I can find this Jeffrey Campbell version somewhere. These leather cutout peep-toe boots feature 9 buckled straps and a side zip closure. 1.75″ covered platform and 4″ covered wedge heel. Perfect! Lately, I’ve been obsessing over Jeffrey Campbell shoes, I’ve started to get a lot of their shoes they’re so nice.
