In a new interview with KROQ, Kanye West explains his recent statement regarding Britney and her VMA awards (also He talks about Rihanna career): “Im not trying to diss Britney or anything like that. One of my favorite songs last year was “Gimme Gimme.” Like, I love that record. But I just feel like Rihanna had a really breakout year and became the biggest artist… like Rihanna sells more records than me all together if you include her in national sales and she is arguably the biggest artist in the world right now.“ Source

I hear the ladies were out of control in the VIP area near where Mayweather was standing. But he had his eye on one chica in particular all night long.

As if the cash wasn’t enough, Mayweather and Benny, the promoter of Thursday nights at Pure, gave away a free BMW to one lucky winner last night!

Now why didn’t Benny tell me they were giving away a free Beemer?

I guess Benny heard that a certain club owner gave away three luxury vehicles recently, including two Benzes and a Range Rover.

Now that the U.S. has elected its first Muslim president in Barack Obama, Michael Jackson is following suit by converting to Islam himself. According to The Sun UK, Jacko has changed his name in accordance with his new religion.

Jacko will henceforth be known as “Mikaeel”:

The skint superstar, 50, donned Islamic garb to pledge allegiance to the Koran in a ceremony at a pal’s mansion in Los Angeles, The Sun can reveal.

Jacko sat on the floor wearing a tiny hat after an Imam was summoned to officiate — days before the singer is due to appear at London’s High Court where he is being sued by an Arab sheik.

A source told last night how Jacko, brought up as a Jehovah’s Witness, decided to convert as he used a studio at the home of his chum to record a new album.

An Imam was summoned from the mosque and Michael went through the shahada, which is the Muslim declaration of belief. Mikaeel is the name of one of Allah’s angels.

Jacko rejected an alternative name, Mustafa — meaning “the chosen one”. Source

Rocsi celebrated her 35th birthday last night at a private residence in NYC. Rocsi flipped the bird to all her haters — that is, except for BET 106 & Park co-host Terrance J. I guess they’re best friends now. They’re going to need each other more than ever: I hear their jobs on 106 & Park might be on the chopping block due to dwindling ratings. As you already know, MTV’s TRL failed to pull in its numbers and closed up shop.

Beyonce looks red-hot as she shows off her cleavage in the arms of a Japanese pop star. The Sasha Fierce star, 27, looks stunning as she towers over Tokyo in a figure-hugging dress with a plunging neckline. But husband Jay-Z has nothing to worry about. The ad for handbag maker Samantha Thavasa is only-for-Japan and was made when she visited Tokyo late in October.

The lucky chap in the billboard campaign is Takuya Kimura, 35, singer for Japanese group SMAP. “Kimura is very handsome, strong, manly and sexy,” said Beyonce. Kimura returned the compliment sating: “I enjoyed the time with her. She is really sexy and crute. I can learn many things from her to be a nicer guy.” The ads will appear in Samantha Thavasa’s 117 shops nationwide as well as on billboards in Aoyama and Harajuku.

Beyonce’s album I Am… Sasha Firece, is on pace to to sell $500K-$550K in the first week.  Source

A divorce decree for Madonna and Guy Ritchie divorce has been granted and may become final in six weeks and a day. Guy gets props for not taking Madonna to the cleaners.

Of Madonna’s $300 million fortune, Guy walks away with a paltry $10 million.

But he got what he wanted which was joint custody of his sons, David and Rocco, who he’s seen with attending a movie premiere in London last night.

The boys will split their time between London where daddy resides, and NYC with Madonna.

Lourdes is not part of the deal since she’s not his biological, so she stays in NY with mommy.

A British judge just a few hours ago, granted divorce decrees to 17 couples, including a “Ciccone M L v Ritchie G S.”

The decree said the divorce was granted on the basis of Guy’s “unreasonable behavior,” but did not elaborate. Rumors have it that Ritchie objected to Madonna adopted a Malawi girl.  Source

By now you know that Jermaine Dupri couldn’t make it to Pure Atlanta last night because he was in Dubai with Janet Jackson for the Grand Opening of the world’s most expensive hotel, the $1.5 billion dollar Atlantis on the man-made Palm Jumeirah island. I know you’ve all seen pictures of it.

According to JustJared, more than 2000 celebrities from all over the world traveled to Dubai to indulge in the wasteful excess, including A-listers like Charlize Theron, Robert De Niro, Lindsay Lohan, Kylie Minogue, Lily Allen, Michael Jordan, Denzel Washington, Mary-Kate Olsen and even Oprah. B-listers Wesley Snipes and Chris Tucker were also there.

International singing star Kylie was paid a whopping $4 million to perform for one hour. The Grand Opening party for the ultra luxurious Palm Jumeirah man-made island cost more than $32 million and the party guests were worth billions in personal wealth. I’m sure security for the party was ridiculous.

Rapper Remy Ma wants to be out of jail by Christmas. So after exhausting all appeals while serving her 8-year prison sentence, she’s now accusing the judge who presided over her trial of making mistakes.

Remy, real name Reminisce Smith, 26, was sentenced in May on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, weapon possession and attempted coercion for shooting Makeda Barnes Joseph in the abdomen in July after accusing her of stealing money out of her purse.

Now, in new documents filed on behalf of the star, her lawyers claim the trial was riddled with mistakes by the judge. They pinpoint four key indications of the judge’s alleged faults, including the claim Smith was “unfairly prejudiced” by the inclusion of details relating to an August 2007 attack on a male alleged to be Barnes Joseph’s boyfriend, which Smith is said to have instigated.

Her attorneys have also accused the judge of “wrongly instructing the jury” over Barnes Joseph’s testimony, after the jurors were told that if they believed it to be “truthful and accurate”, it would satisfy the proof “beyond a reasonable doubt”.
Smith’s legal team want the sentence overturned and the star released before the seasonal holidays.

Smith is currently serving time at Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women in New York as she awaits the appeal. Source

As predicted, the final episode of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” series was the highest rated in ‘Real Housewives’ franchise history in all demographics, according to Nielsen Media Research.

Tuesday night’s episode posted a 2.02 household coverage rating, garnering 1.68 million adults 18-49 and 2.21 million total viewers, up 51 percent among adults 18-49 (vs. 1.11 million) and up 48 percent among total viewers (vs. 1.499 million), compared to the prior week’s episode.

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” is Bravo’s highest rated freshman series since “Queer Eye.” The series’ first season was also the second highest rated “Real Housewives” season ever, behind only season three of “The Real Housewives of Orange County.

The drama and cat fights continue in the much-hyped Reunion show on Tuesday, November 25 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. (Source)

A brawl involving more than 100 people broke out during a funeral for a one-year-old baby boy in Wisconsin.

An argument between the family members and mourners of Christopher Thomas Jr. over who was responsible for the child’s death, escalated into a wild melee on Wednesday with mourners throwing chairs and knocking over flower arrangements.

Several people grabbed hold of the casket to keep it from being turned over.

Christopher was beaten to death while in foster care. His foster mother, Crystal P. Keith, is charged with his death. Keith is also charged with torturing Christopher’s 2-year-old sister who remains hospitalized.

Keith is married to the brother of the baby’s father.

Christopher was taken from his biological mother by child protective services and placed in foster care back in March.

During the emotional service, mourners set upon the child’s biological father, Christopher Thomas, 22, who suffered a gash to his face during the fight and was taken away by ambulance.

The boy and his 2-year-old sister had been in several foster homes since they were taken from their mother, Candace Glover, 23, who also attended the funeral.
