Patent Tote in Black/Navy with Gold Detailing $49.99

Thanks to reader Danica for the heads up that the Anya Hindmarch for Target collection has secretly dropped at Target.com! All styles of the bags from the collection are available for purchase, but looks like delivery time will take 2-6 weeks, so secure your bag now before it sells out! From what I saw at the Manhattan Target Bullseye Bodegas it flew off the shelves the first day, when I went the night of the opening I didn’t spot one. Will you buy any? If yes which one? I’m still debating on which to get, but definitely a tote!

wonder-woman-dvf2.jpg

To coincide with Diane von Furstenberg’s Wonder Women inspired Holiday Collection, she launches a new comic book called “Be the Wonder Woman You Can Be, Featuring the Adventures of Diva, Viva & Fifa”. “I always wanted to have these three characters Diva, Viva and Fifa, as in DVF, and we came up with the concept,” she said. The three heroines in the comic book will all be wearing DVF clothes, “the $25 comic, as well as a $50 special T-shirt and $230 tote, will be sold at DVF boutiques and dvf.com, and benefit Vital Voices, an organization that helps to empower women.” There will be an event to celebrate the holiday collection and the comic series at her Meatpacking District headquarters next Tuesday.

Chinese Laundry TOP Over-The-Knee Boots
spiff Fall/Winter 2008 Collection

spiff-02.jpg
“Rest in Peace, Yves Saint Laurent” Tee

I’ve first introduced the scent-based clothing brand called spiff when they launched their first collection back in July and with their second season in the game they’ve grown so much since. For their Fall/Winter ‘08 collection their range grew from just t-shirts to hoodies, hoodie dresses and 3/4 sleeve raglan shirts. The products are natural scent based with scents like suntan lotion, jelly bean, rose, gardenia, soap and fruit punch.

There are a few themes to this new collection, the Halloween line called “House of spiff” with a jelly bean scent consisting of tees, hoodies and 3/4 sleeve raglan shirts. A t-shirt which pays homage to the late fashion mogul, Yves Saint Laurent, who passed away on June 1, 2008- they chose rose as the scent. The “Girls Be Ambitious” t-shirt range consists of the spiff school girl that is “preppy”, “cool” and/or “sporty” with a soap scent. Last but not least is the “Lady spiff” range with a gardenia scent featuring the “dancing queen”, “on time woman” and “lady go”. If you loved the “Allure” and “Here 4 U” tees from last season, they’ve remade them in different colorways and with a fruit punch scent. KAWAII! The Fall/Winter ‘08 collection releases starting mid-October, look out for them at Charlotte Ronson (NYC), Union (NYC), Modish (Brooklyn), Revive (Michighan), Swagger (Tokyo, Japan), Grandism (Switzerland).

MUJI to GO JFK International Airport
Terminal 5 at John F. Kennedy International Airport
Jamaica, NY 11430
718.917.8989

MUJI is slated to open MUJI to GO at JFK International Airport on Wednesday, October 22nd with 596 square feet of retail floor space in JetBlue Airways’ new Terminal 5. This new format is nothing new to me as I’ve seen it first at the Hong Kong International Airport which was open back in March 2008 but it’s the first in the US. MUJI to GO offers a range of useful items focusing on travel and mobile accessories. It will offer over 300 household items and 80 apparel items at the opening.

Prominently located in the terminal’s central shopping and dining Marketplace, MUJI to GO expects high traffic at its store. Following the opening of MUJI Times Square and MUJI SOHO, MUJI to GO is the MUJI’s 3rd store in the U.S. and will contribute to increase of awareness all over the US. Great, now I can spend my boring wait time at JFK browsing through MUJI products instead of eating haha!
