Didn’t get a chance to post the Lucky Shops 2009 VIP Shopping Party recap, been busy packing and getting ready for LA (there now!). Lucky Magazine invited me to my first Lucky Shops shopping experience this past Thursday, it was a bit overwhelming when I got there but after walking through it once I got the hang of it. There’s a lot of vendors there, great stuff for amazing prices at up to 75% off retail. I was so tempted to buy but am saving so held myself back, but my girl Simone bought an amazing Timeless by Naeem Khan for HSN Sequin Top for $150 which I’m envy of, seriously hotness! Tomorrow is the last day to shop if you haven’t already, to purchase tickets visit www.luckyshops.com or call 1.866.4LUCKYU. Saturday Shop-a-thon • November 7 • 11AM – 5PM Location: Metropolitan Pavilion – 125 West 18th Street (between 6th and 7th Avenues), NYC More pics after the jump…
December is just around the corner which means the Rodarte for Target collection is launching soon! Magazines are also starting to showcase the collection, slowly we’ll be able to view the entire collection. Marie Claire featured a few pieces of the collection, some of which we have already seen from sneak peeks but at least this time I wouldn’t be asked to remove them since they’re out in publications. Thanks to reader lucy92 for sending over the link. Stay tuned for the collection preview forthcoming… The limited edition collection will launch at Target stores nationwide and on target.com on December 20, 2009, and will be available through February 6, 2009. Can’t wait! More pics after the jump…
Hellz Bellz is killin’ it once again, the streetwear/contemporary fashion brand introduces their holiday 2009 collection, Cult Classic, which was inspired from the film Heathers. “Cult Classic seeks to personify the seemingly innocent girl with anything but innocent intentions.” Lanie added new pieces to the collection, the Villain’s jacket, a unique play on a motorcycle/peacoat jacket, with an exaggerated collar, perforated leather sleeves and wool body- which is my favorite from the collection. Also, the Kiss My… shemagh skirt with tie and fringe details, is interesting and fun. Love the collection! Look out for the collection at stockists including Karmaloop, Revolve Clothing and 80’s Purple very soon! More pics after the jump…
Back in September we reported about the COMME des GARCONS x The Beatles Collection, now finally the first look of the bag has surfaced on WWD. Rei Kawakubo’s signature polka dots along with the logo of Apple Corps Ltd. were used on the bag. Rei wanted to create a “strong, conceptual” approach to the project “instead of making many unnecessary items that may in time come to resemble a Beatles souvenir shop. The collection consists of 10 styles of travel bags along with four shirts and five T-shirts priced from around $115 to $860. The bags are made in Japan to high-quality standards, using embossed polyurethane or printed PVC and detailed with metal grommets, embossing and cords, and out of respect for Sir Paul McCartney, an advocate of vegetarianism and animal rights, there will be no leather used in the collection. The COMME des GARCONS x The Beatles Collection is set to launch on November 20th in Tokyo at the Trading Museum, a new Comme store concept in the Gyre building. Dover Street Market, Kawakubo’s multibrand emporium in London, is to host the British launch on November 27th, with a further commercial rollout planned for 2010. The first bag is looking pretty interesting, I like. Can’t wait to see the full collection. Stay tuned!
Never saw this coming but collaborations are meant to surprise, one of my favorite skin care brand, Kiehl’s, has teamed up of my favorite New York-based artist, KAWS, to recreate their classic Creme de Corps labels. 100% of Kiehl’s net profits from the sale of Limited Edition Crème de Corps will Support RxART. The special edition with bottle caps will be available exclusively at colette for Europe by the end of the month, retailing for about US$77. 100% of the profits will be given to “Les Orphelins du Sida”. The Crème de Corps is an amazing all-over body moisturizer, which I’m a fan of for extremely dry, or flaking skin. You can cop a bottle at www.kiehls.com for $77.00 (1L Pump), $44.50 (16.9 fl. oz.) and $26.50 (8.4 fl. oz.). A great holiday gift and I think I may need to get a bottle for keeps too! |
