On January 1st, Joey Yung, a very famous HK singer, whom I like a lot wore this “Viktor & Rolf” outfit to an award ceremony. I personally don’t like this outfit, especially not with those crystal leggings. It is very ballroom and it’s not flattering on her at all. Her style is usually not that bad (let me remind you she is in HK haha)…but this is definitely a MISS to me! Regardless, I still LUV her voice…and her songs…not much are as talented as she is. The question is, do you think she’s rockin’ Viktor & Rolf or is it a FAKE? Let the fun begin… The Answer: For those that said its a FAKE, you’re right! She couldn’t find it in HK so she asked her designer/tailor to make a copy…how embarrassing, she stepped on stage many times to claim awards…uhhh! It’s all over the Chinese newspapers and all the Chinese forums are talking about it (says in the news, I’m not sure which forums)…they also said it wasn’t her first time “copying”! DAMN! Def bad news for her…but still publicity…she made front page news haha…oops!

I think her outfit is fine, but just the shoes and leggings. Look at the shoes, its a ballerina gown!! >.< Leggings will work with another outfit but not this, might as well the shoes. Well let me take a guess, I’ll say its REAL. haha Viktor & Rolf is more recognise in Asia, esp HK than the states. Hk OLs love V&K blouses. I’ve seen her wearing V&R over the past few years so I will say this gown is REAL.

oh this is a shame! She’s like an icon and she’s wearing fake! Is there something wrong? I wish there was a story behind that she needs to wear this fake gown because of something something haahaa comon, lie to me! haha
i thought it was probably real considering she’s prob got the funds, but i can’t imagine anyone attemping to knock that shit off. ah well.
I am not too surprised to hear it’s fake since they can imitate anything pretty well in Asia. That outfit can be graded as AA. Hahaha
looks real but if u look carefully V&M’s stars go from biggere to smaller while Yung’s stars are very much similar in size… great knockoff though! it’s a shame when even celebs [wit endless possibilities] dont rock authetics!

It is most definately fake! She even admitted to the press that “I will do a better job next time [of copying]“! Gee, I thought she had more brains that that!

Hello!? People: I’m sorry to break your little bubble but it’s not a big deal. She’s wearing fake because she couldn’t find the original in HK, so what? It’s not like she didn’t try to buy the one from Victor & Rolf first.
I personally find it shameful when a celebrity isn’t into charity or has no talent whatsoever. It’s lame to care about the brands they are wearing. The fact that she’s not a labe whore says a good thing about her.
So stop it with the “shame” because THIS kind of talk IS a shame.
Eve, how’s abt a fake LV bag then? It’s an limited edition, if you couldnt get it, would you try to make a fake one ? You cant use it as an excuse just because she cant find the “orginal” one. It’s not the 1st time for Ms Joey Yung doing these kind of copying. It’s a shame not to admit it.
I really don’t care about fake one way or another. The fact that this is a “scandal” is silly.
With her being a top singer in Hong Kong, if she REALLY tried I am positive she could find the REAL V&R outfit. She has tons of stylists and the funds, I’m sure she could afford and have the connections to get the real thing. If not, it’s not a big deal wearing another outfit. It’s not like she HAS to have this outfit for this specific event.

I’m with you all littleoslo, jess and retrogurl! Singers like her, such a famous singer, do have great impact on young generation. That’s one of the reason why advertisers pay a lot to pop singers that lead a positive life to promote their products. They do have big influence.
hahahaha this is so great!! I don’t like her too much as a singer and I don’t like her public persona so i think this bad press will wake her up and let her know she can’t get anyway with pretending to be ‘tai je’ (big sister) all the time in HK music world
