Nowadays the best way to get your name out (even more if you’re already famous) is to do a collaboration. J. Crew has caught on with the circle of retailers in designer collaborations, if you’re going to be a bride in 2008, you could be walking down the aisle in a Doo-Ri Chung for J. Crew wedding dress. It’s no surprise that the two will collaborate since J. Crew Chairman and CEO Millard “Mickey” Drexler is mentoring Doo-Ri. In her yearlong mentorship, she will design a few wedding dresses and other items, there is no set date as when the collection drops.
