Sweet Tater for Intermix

Sweet Tater unveils its Spring/Summer ’07 collection and also presents a collaboration with Intermix. Sweet Tater is designed by Christina Kornilakis and Sarah Gregory, they are best known for their tunics and shirtdresses in seasonally appropriate fabrics including crisp cottons, soft wools, luxurious silks and rich velvets. They’re big breakthrough was in their Spring ’06 collection, the season that brought “the magic dress”, the Grecian inspired cotton shirtdress. Operating under the motto “ena kai kalo,” in Greek meaning “one, but a good one,” Sweet Tater has since recreated the Greek Shirtdress with variations in fabric, color or length while continuing to add new styles to their repertoire. It was the Greek Shirtdress that drew in Intermix buyer Alexis Geotes and thus, Sweet Tater for Intermix.

The Spring/Summer ’07 line consists of embroidered, gauzy and silk cottons featuring their signature Greek Shirtdress in variations and the new Greek Tunic, these two pieces will be available at both Sweet Tater and Intermix, however Intermix will have exclusive fabrics. The Angel Sleeve Tunic, created in ivory and light mauve is a silk/cotton blend exclusive to Intermix. The exclusive pieces for Sweet Tater will be the Shepherd Blouse, a feminine take on the ‘uniform’ of the shepherds who work seaside in the Mediterranean sun, this airy blouse features a voluminous sleeve, deep V-neckline with two self-buttons at the close and can be tied in the back at the empire or worn loosely and a crisp cotton voile tunic with a three-quarter length safari sleeve and wooden buttons.

Stay tuned for more on the S/S ’07 collection and the exclusive line for Intermix.
