The Row Has Arrived...
Vogue Nippon March 2007

Back in September we had a glimpse of what Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen had in the works, their new line, The Row. The name derived from Savile Row, the London Street world famous for timeless tailoring. The Row was created because neither one of them could find the perfect t-shirt, so if you can’t find it might as well make it! Don’t think Walmart prices for these, a t-shirt can cost you up to $250. The pieces are simple and timeless, prices range from $150 for a t-shirt to $850 for a floor-sweeping cashmere vest. I like the idea of using a high-end couture technique for a tee BUT my wallet screams no. Don’t be disappointed yet, the twins are in the works of creating a contemporary line for Walmart soon. We’ll just have wait patiently…more pics after the jump…

It’s too basic for the prices–if not for their celebrity name they’d never put those prices on those clothes. I’m sort of underwhelmed–I’m willing to bet SJP’s cheapo line will be more interesting than this ;)

I share the same opinion as Erikka. A tshirt for 150$ just because it’s A-MK Olsen? Nooo!

But, I just read in a magazine that such way of thinking is typical for females.
They don’t really want to spend a lot of money on 1 piece of clothing, but they do want to spend 1000$ or more on 1 Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Chanel,… bag!

I don’t get the idea of high waist and skinny legs… maybe it’s because I grew up with Tom Ford redefinition of sexy, lol.
