Being that I’m a H&M-aholic I stopped by the NYC flagship store (near my work place) at 11ish to check out the “noise” for the M by Madonna debut. I didn’t get to see the frenzy but I heard that people were lining up at 2am last night, its not because people were afraid that the stuff would be sold out but more because the first 250 people in line would enter a raffle to win 10 autographed trench coats by Madonna. If you’re a lucky individual take some pics and show us here! There were a lot of people surrounding the Madonna collections but no cat fights, there were full size runs in almost all the styles except for the famous Sequence Dress, and the only things that were really out of sight were the scarves and turbans. But don’t worry, this collection is not meant to fly off shelves, H&M replenishes very often, so you’ll still be able to get your goods even if you walk in after work. I just bought 2 turbans, one black and one white, I know I said I don’t think I can pull it off, but I’ll try haha! Show me what you guys bought!! More pics after the jump…

I just went to the 34th & 7th Ave H&M and they had most everything there too. The sequence dress was more heavy that I thought it would be! Didn’t buy anything though. =P
well i go sharp 10 to my favorite H&M shop but , because it’s kind of small one , the Madonna Colection wasn’t really breathtaking – i mean there wasn’t many pieces – no turbans ( gosh and that was the main reason i go , i want one so much … but i check accesories and there were kind of turban/band for 4-6$ so i started thinking… XD ) , no famous Sequence Dress , no shoes , no bags … really that wasn’t good – but i tried almost everything they had – few dresses were nice…
But few – i couldn’t squeeze in my normal dress size XD i don’t know , that was something wrong ( did madonna know something like ZIP ) – black long with thing under bust ( don’t know how say it in english , sorry ) , no sleeves and mid lenght , 40s sleeves , gold(or black , or silver ) also with thing under bust . Weird dresses .
Also tried white skinnys with zip – nice material , very thin denim but fitting wasn’t very good , quite “i am a model with no hips”-kind , and bigger size wasn’t doing anything – to big here , to small here . Just not good piece .
Well it seems that i must go tommorow to another H&M to check whole collection ;/

i need to go to my H&M…i doubt her pieces will be sold out round ma way cuz H&M aint tha popular here (VA) but i want those waist belts and how much is that trench?!!
Went to Brussels today, they had the collection in two different stores, but there wasn’t a big crowd surrounding it. They pretty much had everything, i really like the dress that madonna wore a couple of days ago in one of the posts ‘madonna spotted wearing m for madonna’ (or something like that) but I didn’t buy it because I’m sure I won’t wear it very often. I heard that people did line up in other cities. In Gant people lined up for the leather bomber and apparently that wasn’t in store yet, so that’s a bummer!
Didn’t buy anything too..went by work today and my colleague tried to persuade me in buying a few pieces but I resisted because I really want to check out the Cos-store opening next week..I saw sooo many nice stuff on the site, so I’m saving up for that!!
The sizes run really small, so be sure to fit the piece before you leave the store….!
Also, in The Netherlands, there were some probs with the delivery, so…..half of the items had not even arrived yet when the stores opened!!
I heared there is a skinny in the collection too…it shouls arrive in the H&M I work on monday…I’m really curious, cause I did not see or heared about it before, did you guys?

I picked up the silk halterneck in the pink print. It’s really cute on, gorgeous with skin tight skinnies. And the infamous white sunglasses. I was happy enough with my purchases- would have loved the leather jacket but alas I’m only a poor student! Unfortunately we didn’t get all the accessories- just the skinny belts and sunglasses. May go visit one of the other stores over the weekend and see what they have though.
To anyone who is worrying about not getting their size- there won’t be MUCH replenishment afaik, but it’s in every store that sells the ladies concept- so it’s really easy to get the stock you want! Just a heads up as well- in Europe anyway, the campaign ends 5th of April- so you have until then to get everything you need!
great post. it was exciting to see madonna’s collection. but i too wasn’t really that stoked by it. i liked the black patent clutch, but got sidetracked by the normal stuff at h&m like grey shorts, and military jackets. oh and various plastic shiny things.

Its classic and cool, I bought most of the belts and the cream skirt. I might have to get the shoes too, matches the belt and all.
