GO: Patrick Robinson for Target Detailed Look

As the craze for Proenza Schouler for Target dies down, next month Patrick Robinson for Target hits stores and let the cycle begin again. After months of straining my eyes trying to figure out what I like, finally I get a detailed look at the pieces. Even though this collection is not as a good as the PS collection, there are a few pieces that I want. For some reason, the brown prints remind me of Henna tattoos, I’m not sure if that was his source of inspiration but its quite nice. This collection is indeed very casual and great for Spring/Summer, I really like that shirt and shorts up top…those will def be in my radar. Which pieces do you like? Peep the collection after the jump…

THE COLLECTION STARTS SELLING FROM May 6, 2007 through July 15, 2007!!

I think I like this collection more than any other so far. The dresses are all adorable and so cute for summer.

  5. shopdiary says:

the prints are quite nice. i like the last dress + anything with those prints.

  6. erikka says:

Anyone know the date they drop?

I’m not feeling this one as much either. Maybe one or two but it’s a little too crunch for me. I want colorful stuff for summer.

  7. cp says:

cute stuff. brown’s not really my color, but I like the drapey cut of the clothes.

  8. TeTe says:

It hits store May 6- July. I love the brown print. Hope it looks as great in person. IMO, PS was great in pics but most of the clothing was horrible in person.

Allergies are hell! Get well soon dear.

  9. Vickie says:

i’m DEF likin the brown print (bathing suit and bag)..n i agree it does seem like Henna. When does this collection drop in stores?..or has it already?

  11. Geneva says:

Ohhh I don’t like this collection. Looks kinda bland… Can’t wait till Libertine’s though.

  12. melly says:

loving this collection. finally, some clothes that aren’t neon colors. esp. the linen jacket/cami/slouchy shorts. perfect for a California summer.

  13. lauren says:

love the printed ones, especially the navy one with the thick shoulder straps w/ drapey 3/4 sleeves.

a few looks remind me of a Gap ad… still all very wearable and laidback though.

  14. Elcee says:

I am really not feeling this Target: Go collection. I would maybe buy the navy empire waisted silk top, and definitely the wallpaper print medallion dress, but overall, this is a very bland, very Gap-like collective. I think Robinson is the first designer in this Go series who is not presenting house-influenced pieces into his designs. The Go collections of Luella and Proenza and even Paul & Joe had designs based on real runway looks. I really don’t see the Paco Rabanne (Robinson in HD) clothing I would love to see at a Target…too bad.

Oh…initially, Go was supposed to be a year long series. Does anyone know if it will continue indefinitely, or if it will tap every one of the CFDA darlings to design and then bow out?

The target near me (Stamford) already had the clothes today (May 4th)- the colors are a little bland for summer in my opinion, but they are VERY comfortable. I bought two pieces not shown; the first was a reversible tank that can be worn front or back, inside and out, so you can wear it four ways. It will definitely be a stable for the summer, esp as it feels so nice against my skin. The second was a black tee with a satin neckline and sleeves; a really great day to night piece. One of the sales associated said that they’re expecting most pieces to sell out by the end of the weekend, so I recommend checking to see if the Target near you has them yet.
