
I am so pissed, I’m already sick in bed today and when I found out that my dad’s DHL package that was sent to B’s crib got stolen I was about to KILL SOMEONE! My dad’s radio/GPS repair was sent back to me via DHL (had no idea they used them) and no one would think they didn’t require a signature confirmation. B was home and no one rang the bell, the package was left open with the radio stolen and the box lying on the front porch! Hmm…who could it be? Anyone can visualize that the DHL person STOLE IT! Called up DHL complaining and they said they are not responsible, if it is a residence they do not require a signature confirmation…WTF kinda policy is this? This is NYC, not no suburb where everyone is friends with each and there is crime very lil crime…haha of course the DHL person KNOWS all this…so might as well steal my $2000 radio/GPS! I’m so damn pissed, I can’t wait till I call up the radio repair company and complain…they freaking either replace the same radio or refund me…if they’re smart they would of bought insurance! I’m so madddddddd…anyone have bad experience like me? I swear DON’T EVER USE THEIR SERVICE!!!!













I have had bad experience with DHL as well. They have a policy where they only deliver two times, but I am always not there to pick up the parcel cuz I have school. One day I got a delivery notice saying that it’s their second time delivering the parcel, but I never received the first one! So I called and ask the lady if I can get it delivered again to my friend’s house and she nicely said “yes”, but I had to call again since I needed to ask my friend’s house address and everything. I called again and it was a guy, and he said no to my request, but obviously the lady said it was ok. It’s not my fault that I didn’t receive their delivery notice, and if they did say yes the first time, why did they say no? They obviously have double standards. Almost from everyone I’ve heard of have had bad experience with DHL. You’re not the first one!
my job uses DHL and it’s HORRIBLE. i concur, do NOT use this service!! especially when you need something to actually arrive on time… or at ALL for that matter! and they get an attitude when you call, which is crazy cuz its always gonna be their fault

i had the same problem with USPS. i know exactly what your going through. all these companies are comlpletely unreliable/irresponsible. they can careless about your crap. i hate them so much…
I TOTALLY agree, DHL sucks. i had a number of bad experiences with them.
in poland we are using national service to send those kind of stuff - this is bad also coz it has almost monopoly so you don’t have choice - you really can’t choose company who will send your pack .
I can relate. Not only did I have a whole 8-piece set of flatware stolen from my postal lady, she also stole a $100 roll of stamps and, surprisingly, all my underwear! {I was shipping my things from grad school}. I bought insurance on the items, and the Postal Inspector Service was able to trace my property to her home after I convinvced them she was the culprit. What a psycho! I could never wear those panties again…
And about DHL…they suck! After the first attempt to deliver, they don’t even notify you they were there. Instead, you have to sign up on their website to get an e-mail update. You have no control over where they drop things off. On one occasion, I found my package UNDER my car. How is that a good place to put a package? These people are crazy and we need to do something about it. We’ll sign the petition, Retrogurl!
DHL is highly unreliable!
I once had a package “delivered” to me three times when I was home during all those supposed “delivery attempts”. They even told me that I “might have been in the bathroom” all those times and missed the shipment! How ridiculous is that?!
I ended up having to go to the DHL warehouse and thankfully they found the package. I’ve lost faith in courier services!
Oh my god, I have had this experience FIVE TIMES in the past few months with DHL. My package was stolen 2 times for orders placed with Target and 2 out of 3 orders with Bluefly…the one time it was not, I was home and they didn’t even ring the door bell, just left the huge package on the front door of my brownstone in Brooklyn! Luckily, both Target and Bluefly refunded me all those times, but Bluefly called me to say that they will not again in the future. The worst part is, after the first time this happened, I called DHL and asked them to always require a signature on all deliveries made to my address, as well as phoning them to verify this for each individual shipment, and they still left the 4 other packages on the front door! They claim I never requested a signature! I have never had this problem with UPS, USPS, or FedEx, and I shop online all the time. Obviously they are just cutting corners–they don’t want the expense of redelivery. I hope they go out of business. If the store you bought it from won’t refund you, try filing a claim with DHL. Unfortunately, my credit card company said I would be unable to do a chargeback if it happened to me again, as the item shows it was delivered.
I’ve had a bad experience with DHL. A few months ago they said they delivered my package but I never received it. I called them and they said that it was the post offices responsiblity (I guess they said the delived it to the post office) The post office NEVER received it and I went back and forth with DHL and the post office until I had the place I bought the package from handle it and then the CS lady put us on a 3 way call to DHL where DHL finally said they “lost the package”. They never told me this the first 20 times I called DHL!!!! The people I purchased the stuff in the package from refunded my money, I’ve only ever had this problem with DHL… they suck and I believe that they steal packages.
thanks for everyone’s support and input…i think the company that shipped out my package will be responsible…they are in talks with DHL now…so await the good news (i hope!).
DHL is so dumb… I had a computer shipped by them from Dell (screw you Dell for using DHL!) but they had to actually have the post office deliver it!!! It took 5 days to get to a DHL delivery station and several days for the Post Office to deliver it from there. It’s like the two most unreliable delivery services teamed up to make my computer show up a week late.
DHL is horrendous. Had a very important package sent “next day” through DHL. 3 days later and it’s still not here. They claim it was “hot ticketed” for absolute delivery, yet they tell me it went out on the truck 2 days in a row and no delivery attempts were even made. It keeps going to back to the distribution center 5 mins from my house, but I can’t go pick it up!
Then they put you on hold and let you listen to the “money back guarantee” speech over and over
